Sarah Smile

I can't imagine what could have been better last night. Every jab, every policy statement, every shot of her family (looking at the baby with Downs Syndrome and asking in our heads, should he have been killed before he lived?). The young couple, the girl clearly pregnant -- not good but not horrible, either, just life.

The ovation at the beginning telling the pundits in the Mainstream media who were trying to get talk of dumping her from the ticket going that she has all of our support and whole-heartedly...and the zingers...PERFECT...and that voice and cadence...perfect. This election is now the "can-do hockey mom -- the American" versus the "can't do (because everyone else is keeping you down)," Haaa-vard-trained lawyer, citizen of the world who dreams not of his white American Christian mother but his black, African Moslem father. It's about people who are cheered by Americans versus those who are cheered by Germans. It's about those who end corruption and those in bed with Tony Rezko and his ilk, it's about someone who goes to a church where they teach "love thy neighbor" and someone who, for twenty years, is mentored by someone who teaches hate your neighbor. It's about someone who we can trust to fight terrorists versus someone who works hand in hand with terrorists. It's about people who, with real problems, find solutions and joy versus those who sit on lush lawns at elite leftist universities writing papers about how they've been victimized.
It's about people who are humble who deserve to be recognized as great and people who think they're so great who really should be just a little more humble given how little they've accomplished.

My favorite line? Talking about the old governors airplane...."so I sold it on eBay." Problem? Solved. It didn't take a commission to study the psychological effects upon the polar bear or twenty junkets to other nations to investigate how other leaders get rid of their plane. Would Obama have done it? Nope, he would have ordered the American Flag removed from the side and replaced it with something far more important to people like him: his name -- just as he did with the arrogantly named O-Force One that he uses to visit the French but not our wounded soldiers in Germany.

Watching the corrupt, leftist media in such pain afterwards was delicious. That warm feeling on Chris Matthews' leg this time was a sexy tingle and it wasn't running UP.

Matthews and Olbermann et al reminded me in their desperation to find some way out of this problem of nothing other than the movie "The Wizard of Oz." Like "The Great and Powerful Oz" a little girl from "Kansas" had just exposed "The Great and Mighty Barry" as the fraud that he is, just a little putz frantically pulling levers to make people think he's something he's not. And there were Chris and Keith ordering their viewers to "pay no attention to the man behind the curtain."

What a great day for America, for goodness, for decency, for everything that America is and everything that Barack Hussein Obama isn't.

This is a great day, and it's great to hear your take on it Mr Sayet. Almost as good as watching the left's heads explode.

It's funny and perfectly fitting that your favorite line was a complete and baldly-made lie:

After going unsold for months, the jet was put into the hands of Turbo North Aviation, an Anchorage aircraft broker, which put an asking price of $2.45 million on the nearly $2.7 million jet. It quickly sold to Alaska businessman Larry Reynolds for $2.1 million ($31,000 of which went to Turbo Aviation). Today the Westwind II jet spends its days ushering wealthy hunters around Alaska and Russia [Radar]

So, she lost money on the jet sale.

But Evan, look what a good Republican you are, honing in on the lies so quickly and easily.

Getting rid of the plane so the tax payer doesn't have to pay for it's use is what she was doing, oh brilliant and sophisticated one. You libs are stretching for anything to demonize Sarah Palin but it's not going to work. I have yet to hear one meaningful attack on her yet. First, she was for the "bridge to nowhere" before she was against it. She didn't want her constituents to have to pay for the bridge, and when she found out they would have to foot the bill, she vetoed it. Makes sense to me. She may have not provided all of the details in her speech, but I don't see it as a lie at all. She did indeed toss the project. Next, we have this silly argument that she didn't make a profit in selling the plane. Are you that dense? She wasn't trying to make money off the jet sale. She was trying to reduce unnecessary spending and the results of the sum of her actions speak for themselves. WEAK! WEAK! WEAK! Weak coming from a party SO DENSE that they would nominate a completely unqualified man for president of the United States just because he is black and appealing to the public. There are many other men and women of various ethnicities in the democratic party that would fill the role, but Obama??? PLEASE!

The point, made in a pithy way, was that it was a wasteful and unnecessary perk and so she sold it. But, of course, being so smart as lefties tell themselves they are, you knew that. So why did you pretend you didn't? The same reason leftists go after 17-year-old children-- because they are devoid of humanity. They are so sure of their superiority that any lie, any crime, any "church" any terrorist, any mobster who advances your agenda becomes your buddy, your colleague your mentor your wife, etc.

We are dealing with people who hate America so much that they're going to "get" Sarah Palin over the LIE but hang out for decades with Jeremiah Wright whose hate they believe is truth.

Oooops, turns out that "BIG LIE" from Sarah Palin...was not a lie at all:

From Politico:

Actually, Palin did post the jet on EBay but ended up selling it through an aircraft broker for about a half-million dollars less than the state had paid for it in 2005.

So that's the equation -- William Ayers/Jeremiah Wright/Syrian-born mobster Tony Rezko vs. "THE LIE" that turns out to be the truth.

She PUT it on ebay. Exactly as she stated in her speech. Eventually ended up being sold thru a broker, I think. Long term savings to the public, priceless (to rip off an idea from a commercial).

Here is the exact quote from her speech.

"While I was at it, I got rid of a few things in the governor's office that I didn't believe our citizens should have to pay for.

That luxury jet was over the top. I put it on eBay.

I also drive myself to work."

I found that site by googling "sarah" palin""rnc speech"

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/09/03/sarah-palin-rnc-conventio_n_123703.html

That site also includes a video of her speech.

For extra credit, compare & contrast her actions w/ Obama repainting the tail on his plane.

I caught Olbermann and Matthews huddling after the debate, too.

Something very heavy was weighing on their minds.

The Left just doesn't know what to do with themselves. The simple proof that they are scared shitless is the amount of money that Barry raised AFTER her speech. I read that Democracts raised $8-$10M after Sarah's speech.

What does that tell you? It's the Democrats having an "oh shit" moment and then coughing up money to knock over our girl.

But they won't. They can't. Sarah is the most all-American girl I've ever seen. She's every real man's dream girl come true and yet an inspiration for every real mom in America.

She brought me to tears that night. I loved it.

So, Evan, did she or didn't she sell the plane on Ebay, as you allege in your post?

Story that Sarah Palin sold Alaska state jet on eBay is a campaign-trail tall tale

Friday, September 5th 2008, 12:05 PM

The folksy tale of how Gov. Sarah Palin saved Alaska millions by unloading the state jet on eBay is fast becoming a campaign fish-that-got-away tale.

Sen. John McCain not only repeated that story on the stump Friday to tout his Republican running mate, but added, "She made a profit, too."

The truth is that Palin couldn't find a buyer last year when she tried to peddle to plane on eBay - and lost the state money when she did sell it.

Palin's predecessor, Frank Murkowski, originally bought the 20-year-old Westwing II for the state of Alaska for $2.7 million. She listed it on eBay for $2.5 million.

When no offers came in, Palin hired a jet broker - Turbo North Aviation in Anchorage - which sold the jet for $2.1 million to an Alaska businessman.

"We handled the sale for the state of Alaska," jet broker Rob Heckmann told the Daily News. "The eBay thing didn't work out for them."

Twenty months ago, when Palin was running for governor, she pounded Murkowski relentlessly about the jet and called it an extravagance, even though he shared it with the state's Public Safety Department.

Heckmann said Palin isn't the first politician who has tried to sell a state plane on eBay.

This is laughable. The best thing that they can come up with is that she didn't make a profit selling the plane, and that is didn't technically sell on e-bay.

"That luxury jet was over the top," Palin, the Republican vice presidential nominee, said to loud cheers. "I put it on eBay."

All of which is true. Of course, the technicality of how or even how much she sold it for doesn't matter. The overall story of cutting wasteful spending is 100% true and VERY RARE in politics. That is why we love her and you HATE her. How many other people that you know of voluntarily take a pay cut and relinquish privileges funded by the taxpayer.

It's makes their boy-toy candidate look like a self-centered spoiled child.

Listen to yourself, Dora. It's terribly pathetic.

Listen to yourself, "anonymous;" you sound exactly like that morid motherfucker, Psychet.

In fact, you are that morbid motherfucker, Psychet.
