The thugocracy of Barack Obama.

From the hate-church of Black Liberation Theology where Louis Farrakhan is an icon to dispensing one hundred million dollars to promote the efforts of arch terrorist, William Ayers to Obama's debt to convicted mobster "Tony" Rezko, Obama's history is one of the thug. Yes, he's tall and pretty and speaks in a deep and soothing voice, but he is a thug nonetheless.

Now, in the New York Post, the truth about ACORN -- the "community organizing" group that Obama helped train -- comes this report:

By ADAM NICHOLS and JEANE MacINTOSH

Posted: 4:51 am
October 20, 2008

Pushed to meet daily quotas and bullied by bosses if they didn't, Ohio ACORN workers faked voter registrations, signed up people more than once, and even paid off registrants to keep from being fired, its canvassers told The Post.

"Every day, there was pressure on us. Every single day," said Teshika Elder, a Cleveland single mom of three who worked for ACORN this summer.

Threatening the livelihood of single mothers unless they engage in voter fraud is just one more example of what the American people can expect from an Obama-nation.

Prominent Republicans Cross the Aisle to Endorse Obama
Friday 24 October 2008

Scott McClellan, former White House Press Secretary for George W. Bush, has endorsed Barack Obama for president. (Photo: Reuters)
Washington - Joel Haugen, a Republican fighting a tough congressional race against the Democrats in Oregon, has fallen out with his party. The reason: his surprise endorsement of Barack Obama for the presidency.

"I believe in putting nation before party and my first priority is following my conscience with regard to what is best for America," Haugen said.

Haugen is just one of many Republican politicians, dubbed "Obamicans", who have defected to Obama. The latest high-profile desertions include Scott McClellan, George Bush's former press secretary, who endorses Obama in a taped CNN programme to be broadcast this weekend, and William Weld, the Republican governor of Massachusetts from 1991 to 1997.

Weld, in a statement released today ahead of a press conference in New Hampshire, described Obama as "a once-in-a-lifetime candidate."

Last weekend, Bush's former secretary of state, Colin Powell, Obama's biggest Republican catch so far, publicly backed the Democratic candidate.

Other defectors include Arne Carlson, the Republican governor of Minnesota from 1991 to 1999, who wrote in the Minneapolis Star-Tribune yesterday: "The choice of governor Sarah Palin as a running mate, and the resultant shallow campaign based on fear and suspicion, looks frighteningly similar to the politics of Karl Rove."

He described Obama as having "the potential to become a truly great president".

The founders of Republicans for Obama include a former Iowa congressman, Jim Leach; a former Rhode Island senator, Lincoln Chafee, and a former Bush fund-raiser, Rita Hauser.

Another defector this week is Ken Adelman, a foreign policy adviser to Ronald Reagan, who told the New Yorker he would endorse Obama because of McCain's temperament, describing as weird his behaviour in response when the economic meltdown began.

Obama widens his lead in Saturday's Gallup Poll

By Yael T. Abouhalkah, Kansas City Star Editorial Page columnist

Time is running out on John McCain. Saturday's Gallup Poll showed Barack Obama widening his lead among likely voters, with a 51-44 percent margin.

On Friday it was 50-45 percent in Obama's favor.

In fact, Obama has now stretched his lead among likely voters back out to the same 7-percentage point margin he had in mid-week.

This time there's very little good news for McCain, who's been attacking Obama the last few days for allegedly not being ready to deal with any foreign crisis that might come America's way.

The tactic isn't working.

Among all voters, the Gallup Poll on Saturday showed Obama with a huge lead of 51-42 percent. It was Obama's 9th straight day at or above the winning 50 percent mark.

Odd that you bring up the black liberal theology church because just tonight I decided to do some research on it and started with watching a very glorifying video interview with the creator of Black Liberal Theology himself-JAMES CONE and let me just say the man is a nut job! I see by the comments our opinion isn't popular among your readers but I commend you for being willing to stand up and speak out. Once I saw that interview with Cone EVERYTHING about Obama from his view on socialism to his wife saying this was the first time she had been proud of America-well it all makes sense now.

Nobody even talks about Rezko anymore. It just got swept under the rug as quickly as it fell. It was like a piece of trash at Disney. It's there for only a second before some one quickly sweeps it up so that no one will think there is ever trash inside Disney. Amazing....

Jeeeezus...and these morons pretend to worry about Wright!?

The Freakocrazy of Sarah Palin:

Ms. Palin’s faith has come under scrutiny after two videos taken in her former church surfaced on YouTube and became immediate sensations. The first showed a visiting preacher from Kenya praying fervently over Ms. Palin in a gravelly voice and asking God to favor her campaign for governor and protect her from “every form of witchcraft.”

The second showed Ms. Palin at an event in June praising the African preacher’s prayer as “awesome” and “very, very powerful.” She is also seen nodding as her former pastor from Wasilla prays over her and declares that Alaska is “one of the refuge states in the Last Days,” a piece of prophecy popular in some prayer networks that predicts that as the “end times” approach, people will flock to Alaska for its abundant open space and natural resources.

What is known, however, is that Ms. Palin has had long associations with religious leaders who practice a particularly assertive and urgent brand of Pentecostalism known as “spiritual warfare.”

Its adherents believe that demonic forces can colonize specific geographic areas and individuals, and that “spiritual warriors” must “battle” them to assert God’s control, using prayer and evangelism. The movement’s fixation on demons, its aggressiveness and its leaders’ claims to exalted spiritual authority have troubled even some Pentecostal Christians.

Barack Obama (AP)

Despite a Republican vice presidential candidate that hails from the state, Alaska's biggest newspaper offered its endorsement Sunday to Barack Obama, saying he brings "far more promise" to the office of the presidency than John McCain.

The Anchorage Daily News said many Alaskans are proud to see McCain running mate Sarah Palin on the ticket -- and the national stage -- but her nomination "does not overwhelm all other judgment."

"The election, after all is said and done, is not about Sarah Palin, and our sober view is that her running mate, Sen. John McCain, is the wrong choice for president at this critical time for our nation," the paper's editorial board wrote.

The board also borrowed from the Obama camp's vocabulary, calling McCain's response to the economic crisis "erratic."

In offering its support for Obama, the board Obama "displays thoughtful analysis, enlists wise counsel and operates with a cool, steady hand." It predicted the Democratic candidate will return to the policies of the Clinton administration.

The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now -- or Acorn -- the troubled left-wing activist group, has new headaches. Last week Michael Slater, head of its Project Vote, admitted that some 400,000 of its claimed 1.3 million newly registered voters were rejected by election officials as either duplicates or fraudulent -- i.e. it doesn't sound as if Acorn's vaunted "quality control" efforts were all that effective.

Taxes? Those are things other people are supposed to pay...

Capital Research Center has discovered that ACORN, which relentlessly argues for higher taxes, can’t be bothered to actually pay its own taxes. In the November Foundation Watch we report:

Ironically, ACORN and its affiliates, all reliable cheerleaders for higher taxes, are longtime tax deadbeats. A search of public records found more than 200 tax liens adding up to more than $3.7 million are associated with groups that share ACORN’s address on Elysian Fields Avenue in New Orleans. The most recent lien, in the amount of $23,383, was filed by the IRS against an ACORN affiliate, American Workers Associates Inc., on September 9, 2008.

Party at war as Palin 'goes rogue' Geoff Elliott, Washington correspondent | October 27, 2008
DAMAGING recriminations between aides to John McCain and Sarah Palin, who is being accused of "going rogue", are spilling out into public view.

Reflecting a bitterly divided campaign going into the final week of the presidential race, unnamed campaign insiders are starting to speak out in a traditional Washington game of "precriminations", where blame starts to be apportioned in the face of a likely defeat.

Ms Palin is making it obvious she is unhappy how she has been handled by her campaign staff - particularly that she has been shielded from any unscheduled interaction with journalists.

US media outlets yesterday were reporting open hostility from aides close to both candidates, some calling Ms Palin a "diva" in what will be an even more heated blame game after November 4 should Senator McCain lose.

"She's lost confidence in most of the people on the plane," said a senior Republican quoted by the website Politico yesterday, adding that Ms Palin had already begun to "go rogue" in some of her public pronouncements on the campaign trail. CNN reported similar comments.

Politico cited four Republicans close to Ms Palin as saying she had grown frustrated by advice given to her by campaign handlers, whom supporters blame for a series of public relations gaffes.

As The Australian reported last week, Ms Palin has in the past two weeks noticeably distanced herself on several occasions from Senator McCain, a move many regard as her attempt to establish her own identity and a possible run for the White House in 2012 if Democratic contender Barack Obama wins on Tuesday week.

CNN reported a Palin associate saying the candidate was simply trying to "bust free" of what she believes was a damaging and mismanaged rollout.

Polls continue to indicate that Senator McCain needs a stunning reversal in the last week of the campaign to win.

While one AP poll last week had him in a dead heat with Senator Obama, most polls show the 47-year-old Illinois senator with a six- to 10-point lead. And he is ahead in enough battleground states that media networks across the US are projecting a comfortable win for Senator Obama in the electoral college tally should the polling hold true.

It makes reports of the internal spats in the McCain camp all the more damaging as Senator McCain looks to ride the race home with a consistent message focusing on Senator Obama's relative lack of experience and a left-liberal economic agenda.

But reports indicate Ms Palin may continue to make headlines in the final days of the campaign as she appears increasingly willing to disregard advisers' orders and speak out on her own.

Politico reported the Alaska Governor's supporters were accusing McCain campaign strategists of already attempting to pin the blame on Ms Palin for the failure of the campaign.

It later quoted advisers to Senator McCain reacting angrily to the report, branding Ms Palin a "diva". The McCain sources said Ms Palin had repeatedly gone "off-message" recently, suggesting she appeared to be looking out for herself.

Ms Palin has also been taking some heat over the $US150,000 ($220,000) spent on her wardrobe since late August, undermining her appeal as a down-to-earth working "hockey mum".

Campaigning in Iowa yesterday, noting the chill in the air, she said: "It reminded me a lot of Alaska, so I put my warm jacket on, and it is my own jacket. It doesn't belong to anybody else."

Polls Show Obama's Support Growing Among White Voters
Barack Obama is drawing the largest share of white voters of any Democrat in more than three decades, according to polls.

Barack Obama is drawing more support from white voters than any Democratic presidential nominee since Jimmy Carter in 1976, according to a Politico analysis of recent Gallup and Pew Research Center polling.

Obama is positioned to win 44 percent of non-Hispanic white voters, the highest share for a Democrat since Carter carried 47 percent of the white vote in his White House victory three decades ago, according to Politico. Bill Clinton was supported by 43 percent of white voters in 1996, including 38 percent of white men.

Until recently, polls had show Obama's support among white voters around 35 percent, Politico reported. One reasons he has been able to increase that number is he is taking support from one of John McCain's most reliable demographic groups: white men.

And in just the last week, Obama's support among white voters jumped five points to 43 percent, Politico found.

Lyndon Johnson is the last Democrat to win a majority of white voters. By contrast, John McCain is drawing between 48 percent to 50 percent of support from white voters in recent weeks, which would be the lowest share for a GOP candidate in a two-man race since Barry Goldwater.

Another Sterling Palin Night for the NHL [heh!]
Saturday, October 25, 2008
Posted By Tom Ziller 11:50 AM
Since the last ceremonial puck drop went so flawlessly [you know, the one for the philly flyers] for vice presidential candidate/No. 1 Hockey Mom Sarah Palin and the NHL, the parties decided to do it again in St. Louis last night. The Blues rolled out a carpet to center ice so Palin wouldn't slip. Unfortunately, Blues goalie Manny Legace did slip ... because of the carpet.

Legace gave up two goals in the first, missed the final two periods of the Friday loss to L.A., and won't play tonight against Florida.

In the interest of equal time, Democratic nominee Barack Obama browbeat ESPN scribe Rick Reilly into not picking Carson Palmer in Week Six for the pair's gimmick fantasy team. Palmer, of course, didn't play a single down in Week Six. Obama's choice (Drew Brees) had 320 yards and three TDs. Only one of these men is paid to writing about sports. The other is the favorite to be the next leader of the proverbial free world. Thank goodness it's not the other way around.

50% of Voters Believe Ayers Issue Has Hurt McCain Campaign
Just 28% of voters believe that John McCain's campaign has been helped by talking about the relationship between Barack Obama and William Ayers. A Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that 50% believe talk of that issue has hurt McCain's effort while 15% say it has had no impact.
Ayers, now a college professor in Chicago, was part of a domestic terrorist group in the 1960s and remains unrepentant for his activities during that era. Just 13% of American voters have a favorable opinion of him while 62% hold an unfavorable view. Twenty-five percent (25%) don't know enough to have an opinion either way.
Among political liberals, 25% have a favorable opinion of him while 44% give Ayers negative reviews. Seventy-three percent (73%) have an unfavorable opinion of Ayers, including 59% with a Very Unfavorable opinion.
+(Want a free daily e-mail update? If it's in the news, it's in our polls).+
Overall, voters are evenly divided as to whether Obama has told the complete truth about his relationship with Ayers-41% say he has and 42% disagree. Obama and Ayers met during the 1990s in Chicago and travelled in similar political circles at the time Obama launched his political career.
In terms of how they will vote, 39% say the Obama-Ayers relationship is at least somewhat important, including 24% who say it is Very Important. Fifty-seven percent (57%) disagree and say that the issue is not an important voting consideration.
Sixty-eight percent (68%) of Republicans say the Ayers issue is at least Somewhat Important. Only 16% of Democrats agree along with 37% of voters not affiliated with either major party.
If Obama is elected, just 15% of all voters believe Ayers will have a lot of influence over the policies of the Obama Administration. Another 18% say he will have a little bit of influence. Fifty-nine percent (59%) say he will have hardly any influence or none at all.
This telephone survey of 1,000 Likely Voters was conducted by Rasmussen Reports October 24, 2008. The margin of sampling error for the survey is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence.

DETROIT (AP) — Former Democratic Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick faces a grim few months: 23 hours a day in a small cinderblock cell, with an hour out for recreation.

Kilpatrick was due in court Tuesday afternoon to receive a 120-day sentence for lying about an affair with his chief of staff.

With good behavior, he could get 20 days knocked off his sentence. He will be billed for his stay at $60 a day.

"The Wayne County jail, and the cell Mr. Kilpatrick will be staying in, is no country club," Wayne County Sheriff Warren Evans said. "It's a Spartan cell, cinderblock, typical of jail cells."

The sentence is part of an agreement worked out with prosecutors when Kilpatrick, a Democrat, pleaded guilty to obstruction of justice on Sept. 4. He will also serve a concurrent sentence for assaulting a sheriff's detective.

Kilpatrick admitted to lying while testifying last year in a civil lawsuit filed by former police officers who had accused him of illegally demoting or firing them.

He and chief of staff Christine Beatty denied having an affair, but text messages obtained by a lawyer in the case — and later the Detroit Free Press — contradicted their claims.

The pair used their city pagers to arrange trysts, share sexually explicit desires and praise each other's prowess between the sheets.
