Short Piece

This is just a short piece -- major post to follow over the weekend.

The entire point of having "super delegates" is to have them vote their conscience and their knowledge. If they were to simply -- mindlessly -- reflect "the will of the voters" then there'd be no reason to have them and, instead, each primary or caucus could just have a few more delegates assigned to them.

The entire purpose of having these super delegates is to ensure that a fast talking demagogue with a silver tongue and a pretty face -- a man so enthralling but without substance or accomplishment that blowing his nose brings cheers on par with his most well-shaped policy statements -- doesn't hijack the party and leave them with a candidate incapable of winning in the fall.

What is the appeal of Barack Hussein Obama? Why do little girls (and not so little girls) pass out at his concerts? Why do little boys (and not so little boys) weep at his hollow proclamations of "hope" and "change?" What is it about this man that sees supposedly smart people cheering his mucus?

The answer before Monday. Here's a hint: The Modern Liberal believes that rational thought is an act of bigotry.

Two posts, nothing said. A joke from a tv comedian and name-calling and silliness. That is the stuff of the left. It's why a nothing like Barack Hussein Obama can become the leftists' party's standard bearer (there's an oxymoron for you, Democrats and standards?).

Say nothing and the leftists will fall at your feet. Hate America and the leftists will kiss your behind. They are so mindless they will actually cheer their leaders mucus. Seriously, they cheer when he blows his nose!

What’s the appeal? Honestly I can’t figure it out. But then I didn’t grok liberals until very recently and with not without some help either.

On one hand you could say that he’s like the really great dad that lets you live at home til 40. The same could be said about mommy Hilary but occasionally she flies off in a fit of rage and smacks the kiddies around. Where there’s occasional reminders of the ugliness of politics in a Clinton presidency (not to mention a return to scandals as usual) the Obama presidency is like the perfect dad, never gets mad, lets you stay in basement as long as you like, doesn’t get mad when you bogart all the food.

On another hand you could say that he’s borrowing from Reagan. By talking up America he appeals to the middle of the roaders that aren’t quite at the point of letting their wife get beat up. But at the same time he doesn’t talk it up directly, he uses collective terms, “we can hope yada,” and, “we can build a better yada.” Essentially acting like a kindergarden teacher, “That was great class lets all give ourselves hugs.”

I’m certainly nterested in seeing Sayet’s opinion.

Isaiah J. Poole | The Mad, Mad Middle Class
http://www.truthout.org/docs_2006/022408E.shtml
Writing for the Campaign for America's Future, Isaiah J. Poole says, "You may not agree, as Sara Robinson provocatively suggests, that the country is primed for revolution. But there is no doubt that large numbers of middle-class people are mad, really mad, about the damage Bush-league conservatism has done to the country and to their futures."

Are they? Because I’m not really hearing much of that sentiment in the real world, at work at least. It seems that if they were mad, really mad, people would be talking about it a little bit more than the Oscars. I suspect writers for truthout.org probably surround themselves with likeminded folks and mistake the grumbling they hear in those circles as the voice of the average person. Reagan swept the elections twice, it didn’t mean that liberalism was dead. It meant that Reagan, like Obama seems to be doing, was better able to appeal to the vast populace of apolitical citizens.

Look, stop with the "Barack Hussein Obama" racist slur bullshit. It's as transparent as hell. Secondly, the super delegates exist only to make certain that the eigar-smoking, back-room democrats make the selection, not to protect anyone. It is clearly undemocratic and has been severely criticized over the years because of that. Finally, why are you so very afraid of Barack Obama, Evan? Why aren't you out there promoting your own candidate? That you mindlessly hate and fear Barack Obama really makes him all the more appealing to me.

CHICAGO (AP) - In his first major public address since a cancer crisis, Nation of Islam Minister Louis Farrakhan said Sunday that presidential candidate Barack Obama is the "hope of the entire world" that the U.S. will change for the better.

The 74-year-old Farrakhan, addressing an estimated crowd of 20,000 people at the annual Saviours' Day celebration, never outrightly endorsed Obama but spent most of the nearly two-hour speech praising the Illinois senator.

"This young man is the hope of the entire world that America will change and be made better," he said. "This young man is capturing audiences of black and brown and red and yellow. If you look at Barack Obama's audiences and look at the effect of his words, those people are being transformed."

Farrakhan compared Obama to the religion's founder, Fard Muhammad, who also had a white mother and black father.

"A black man with a white mother became a savior to us," he told the crowd of mostly followers. "A black man with a white mother could turn out to be one who can lift America from her fall."

It SURE does...

Obama... bought and paid for by the Chicago real estate/ leech off the poor/ Democratic machine...

After graduation, Obama returned to Chicago and joined Davis' small law firm -- then known as Davis Miner Barnhill & Galland -- which specialized in helping developers build housing for the poor. Five of those deals included Rezko's company, Rezmar Corp. Those Rezmar projects ran into trouble. Some buildings ended up being boarded up. Some went into foreclosure.

While Obama served in the Illinois Senate, he continued to work for the law firm, which Davis left in 1997 to become a developer.

Davis soon went into business with Rezko, creating a company called New Kenwood LLC to build the seven-story apartment building for senior citizens on a vacant stretch of land once occupied by a gas station at 48th and Cottage Grove. The city of Chicago owned the land -- nearly two acres tainted by lead, benzene and other toxic chemicals.

Davis is a member of the Chicago Plan Commission. He was originally appointed to the commission in 199x by his friend, Mayor Daley. Davis, like Rezko, has been a prolific campaign fund-raiser for politicians including Daley and Obama.

Soon after they incorporated New Kenwood in 1998, Davis and Rezko got letters of support from elected officials -- Ald. Toni Preckwinkle (4th) and state Rep. Lou Jones (D-Chicago), whose districts included the proposed project.

Firm paid city $1 for land
New Kenwood LLC also got letter of support from Obama, who represented a nearby Senate district. "I am writing in support of the New Kenwood LLC's proposal to build a ninety-seven unit apartment building at 48th and Cottage Grove for senior citizens,'' Obama wrote in separate letters, each dated Oct. 28, 1998, to city and state housing officials. "This project will provide much needed housing for Fourth Ward citizens.''

At the time he wrote the letters, Obama was also a lawyer with Miner Barnhill & Galland, the law firm Davis formerly headed. Among the firm's clients were several companies owned by Davis and Rezko. The firm did not represent New Kenwood.

Davis and Rezko hired Daley & George, the law firm of the mayor's brother Michael, to help them get $3.1 million from bonds issued by the city of Chicago.

Rezko and Davis paid the city $1 for the land and spent more than $100,000 to clean it up, including the removal of an underground storage tank. Some tainted land was left behind, but state environmental officials approved construction after Rezko and Davis agreed to cover the polluted areas with parking lots, sidewalks or three feet of dirt, records show.

The $14.6 million Cottage View Terrace was funded entirely by city, state and federal taxpayers.

The project included $855,000 in development fees for New Kenwood. Records don't show how Davis and Rezko split the money. Davis owned 51 percent of New Kenwood, Rezko 49 percent, according to the records.

In addition to the development fees, a separate Davis-owned company stood to make another $900,000 throughfederal tax credits.

Cottage View Terrace was supposed to be managed by Davis' longtime business partner, William Moorehead. But Moorehead said last week that his company was dumped before the apartments opened in 2002. The apartments are now managed by Urban Property Advisors, a company owned by Davis' son, Cullen Davis.

Moorehead is due to report to prison next month to begin serving a four-year sentence for stealing more than $1 million from the Robert Taylor Homes and other public housing projects he managed for the Chicago Housing Authority and the U.S. Housing and Urban Development Department, as well as from two developments he co-owned with Davis near Cabrini-Green on the North Side.

Barack Obama is Allison S. Davis' college recruited lawn jockey and political rubber stamp... bought and paid for by Allison S. Davis.

Rezko, Davis' partner, is currently under federal indictment and will come to trial next month.

ABC News' Teddy Davis and Jacqueline Klingebiel Report: During a Monday interview with ABC's Dallas affiliate, Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., did not flatly deny the DrudgeReport's charge that her campaign forwarded a photo of rival Barack Obama in traditional African dress.

She then turned the tables on her Democratic rival and accused him of using the controversy surrounding the alleged leaking of the photo to distract the public's attention from deficiencies in his platform and experience.

"I know nothing about it," Clinton told ABC affiliate WFAA. "This is in the public domain. But let's just stop and ask yourself: 'Why are you -- why is anybody concerned about this?'"

Clinton said that she found questions about whether her campaign leaked the photo to be "really laughable."

Obama is a BOLD FACED LIAR

& YOU are merely a BARE FACED LIAR

"Bald-faced liar" and "bold-faced liar" are both correct, but mean different things.

I'm often asked which is the correct expression, "He was a bald-faced liar" or "She was a bold-faced liar." Both expressions are correct; "bald-faced liar" is a modern expression, and "bold-faced liar" dates back to the 1500s.

A "bald-faced liar" is a person who tells simple, obvious lies. "Bald" in this context means "unadorned" or "obvious," rather than "hairless." A "bold-faced liar" is a person who lies in a strong, confident, self-certain way; the expression "bold-faced" literally means "in a bold manner."

There is a third variant as well, which is not often used: "bare-faced liar." It means something slightly different as well; according to Merriam-Webster, "bare-faced" is an idiom meaning "without scruples." A "bare-faced liar" is an unethical or unscrupulous liar.

"The important thing though to note is that in all my conduct there has never been any implications, including in this situation, that I in any way used my office to do favors for people, to help folks betray the public trust in any sort of way and that is something that I am very proud of...

the truth

He used his office as a State Senator to write a 1998 letter to the Illinois housing commissioner supporting his "neighbor" and client of 17 year's proposal (Tony Rezko) for a $14 million contract... at a site noted for its' toxicity and where officials granted "waivers" during the cleanup and allowed houses to be built on top of toxic waste.

I am writing in support of the New Kenwood LLC’s proposal to build a ninety seven unit apartment building at 48th and Cottage Grove for Senior Citizens. The project will include a home health care service, adult day care and wellness centers for seniors conducted by Dorothy Sims Registry, and experienced provider. This project will provide much needed housing for Fourth Ward citizens.” [Obama Letter to IHDA, 10/28/98]

Obama's nothing but a corrupt Chicago politician in Allison Davis and Tony Rezko's pockets. The governor of Illinois and the Mayor of Chicago are ALL about to be exposed and indicted. With any luck, they'll also indict a certain Illinois Senator.

Please settle an argument with your insights.
Which one is it...
: : a bald face(d) liar or a bold face(d) liar?
: : What is the origin?
: : Thanks! SR

: It's bald-faced. A bald-faced liar tells a bald-faced lie. I realise that this is at first glance the less logical of the two alternatives you offer, but it is indeed the correct one. Bald-faced means blatant, undisguised - so not concealed in any way.

TheFallen raises a point of some interest. In the Middle Ages, when monks had to copy a lot of manuscripts, they often encountered confusing and sometimes erroneous words. Sometimes the word appeared to be another word spelt badly. But a rule prevailed in some monasteries that the "more difficult" reading was generally to be preferred. That is, if it seemed wrong, but was from a generally trustworty source, then it was probably right. Of course, that would also be a good place for a gloss. Does anyone know the L@tin precept involved? It includes the word "difficilior." SS

Anonymous said...

I called Obama Allison Davis and Tony Rezko's "lawn jockey" and gunga din for carrying their political water. And is the truth sounds racist to you, then maybe you'd better start reading the newspapers. Because in the upcoming Tony Rezko trial, there OUGHT to be indictments against "Public Officials X, Y AND Obama!"

A day after a judge confirmed that Gov. Blagojevich is "Public Official A" in the much-anticipated Tony Rezko corruption case, federal prosecutors made clear Tuesday that at Rezko's upcoming corruption trial, they intend to delve into the indicted businessman's fund-raising for Blagojevich and his influence in the governor's administration.

According to prosecutors, as Blagojevich's campaign fund swelled, Rezko's sway over state appointments grew. Rezko's "ability to influence actions of state of Illinois officials . . . flowed from Rezko's prowess as a fund-raiser for Gov. Rod Blagojevich," prosecutors said in a court filing Tuesday.

They also disclosed their first witness: Kelly Glynn, Blagojevich's former campaign finance director.

Rezko had so much say on state hiring, prosecutors maintained, that Blagojevich's onetime hiring chief, Joseph Cini, and his assistant Jennifer Thomas would meet in Rezko's office, where Rezko "provided names and information on candidates for not only state agency jobs but also vacancies on boards and commissions."

Jury selection is set to begin Monday, with opening statements as early as March 6.

Rezko -- once also a top fund-raiser for Sen. Barack Obama -- is accused of demanding illegal payments from firms seeking state pension business. Prosecutors said he did it in part "to continue to finance an opulent lifestyle." They argue that they should be able to show jurors a photo of Rezko's Wilmette mansion -- something defense lawyers oppose.

On Monday, U.S. District Judge Amy St. Eve confirmed that Blagojevich is Public Official A, repeatedly referred to in prosecution filings. Sources first confirmed the identity to the Chicago Sun-Times in September 2005.

That's all you people have left now - the American people have rejected your ideas that have set our country back decades, so you sit down there in the gutter and throw your slime. America has rejected your monstrous agenda, so you can either come to terms with that or you can continue to root through the mud like the creep you are.

You can't blame these poor things for trying to make as much of Rezko as possible...with half the GOP in jail or on their way. And the rest waiting to be dug out of some tawdry toilet stall with their size 46 pants down around their chubby, pasty white ankles.

Who's changing the subject? I think we've proven Evan's main premise for this thread quite effectively...

The Modern Liberal believes that rational thought is an act of bigotry.

hahaha...this poor dunce doesn't even know what he's reading...that's the subject of his next, breathlessly awaited manifestation of mental illness. It's that kind of comprehsion skill that made him a wingbat.

How looooooooooow can we goooooooooo? How far can we push the bigotry?...the Gopiggies ask themselves:

RNC Secretly Polls on Racism, Sexism
The Republican National Committee "has commissioned polling and focus groups to determine the boundaries of attacking a minority or female candidate," according to The Politico. "The secretive effort underscores the enormous risk senior GOP operatives see for a party often criticized for its insensitivity to minorities in campaigns dating back to the 1960s."

"The RNC project is viewed as so sensitive that those involved in the work were reluctant to discuss the findings in detail. But one Republican strategist, who asked that his name be withheld to speak candidly, said the research shows the daunting and delicate task ahead."

Looks like this silly whack job is too embarrassed to show up on his own blog!! Except in the very unimposing personna of "Vincent Freeman," so far as redundant and asinine as his creator.

Aw, too bad. I thought that the label applier for the progressive thought police had left...

Now remember folks. Once all those nasty GOP'ers are gone, the only one's left guarding the hen house will be Obama, Rezko, Daley, and Blagojevich of the Cook County Democratic Organization.

Good luck with that!

Do you like it better when evan's troll posts as a boil on evan's ass or when he posts anonymously?

I kinda like it when he posts as dorah the explorah.

Anonymous said...

I like it when he posts as a she and starts fantasizing about girl on girl action! Yowzer!

My favorite is when Farmer John the Racist posts comments on his own blog using a bunch of his own sock puppets. That's hilarity in a can right there.

In the end, of course, Sayet, with his retarded, childish, black and white view of the world as being divided between the good and noble conservatives and the bad and evil liberals, deserves fans like Farmer John the Racist. They complement each other in much the same way that a turd and the bottom of a toilet do.

Farmer John the Straight-up Racist. Has a certain stark but honest ring to it... and which stands in stark contrast to the name of the cowardly would-be censor/silencer of comics that scribbles perjoratives from behind a firewall of internet anonymity.

But then one must wonder about the priorities of a person who is so intimately concerned with what a comedian and his fans talk about that he spends every spare minute of his life in a futile attempt to silence them and prevent their free dialogue, yet condones and excuses the overt corrupt behaviors and actions of his own so-called "leaders".

The same day last year that Obama and his wife, Michelle, closed on a $1.65 million home, Antoin "Tony" Rezko's wife, Rita, closed on a $625,000 vacant lot next door, the Chicago Tribune reported in Wednesday's editions. Both lots had once been part of the same estate, but were listed for sale separately by the owner. . . .

Obama said he had discussed the home with Rezko, but didn't know when Rezko became interested in the vacant lot.

In January, Obama paid Rezko $104,500 for part of the lot to balance the space between his house and the fence.

"I told them if you can spare another 5 or 10 feet, I'd be happy to purchase it from you," Obama said. "They came back and said they could sell us up to 10 feet."

A city ordinance required Rezko to fence the line between the properties, but the Obamas paid for an attorney and architects to inquire about the fence with the Commission on Chicago Landmarks, partly because Obama's wife once worked there and because they wanted to ensure it was done properly, Obama said. Rezko was to pay $14,000 for the fence, although that bill has not been paid, the fence company told the Tribune.

Obama said he took special care to ensure any financial arrangements with Rezko were ethical, because Rezko was widely reported to be under investigation by a federal grand jury. . . .

Rezko and his companies donated at least $19,500 to Obama's state Senate campaigns and federal fund; Obama has said he would divest the federal donation.

Obama said he didn't know how much he spent on the work that led to the fence permit for Rezko.

"My suspicion is that it would probably be a couple of thousand dollars. On the architectural side it might be more," Obama said.

Obama has the landscaper who mows his lawn also mows Rezko's 7,500-square-foot yard, Obama said.

"My intention was to have the landscaper figure out some pro-rata cost for that mowing and send that bill to Rezko. I just haven't had time to do it," Obama said.

Gee, you have some spare time troll. Perhaps YOU could help your leader and perform the requisite mathematical calculations for him... but then math isn't your forte, is it...

Has a certain stark but honest ring to it...

Wow! This is what's left of the right...dumb pigs who claim it's a virtue to be a bigotted fool who tells everyone he's a bigotted fool!!! What next? Will all their child molestors come out and boast how they'll pursue their hobby in public from now on?

Anonymous said...

Every spare minute?!! Dingbat time again. I don't know about anyone else but I check this goofball place out for laughs about once or twice every other day or so...about five minutes each time, I'd say...and from the looks of the posts -- hrs apart -- I doubt if anyone spends more than ten/ fifteen minutes here on any day. Then you've got poor dipshits like FJ whose own blog is as sick as this one hanging here all day waiting for someone to post so he can make a fool of himself again. Even the prop. is ashamed to stop by.

Anonymous said...

LOL! Why tell the truth when an obvious lie will do... how many posts did you make today, dumbass?

Oh, that's right, you're NOT any of your sock puppets.

Now be gone, you have no powers here!

Virtue? When knaves pretend to knowledge of virtues its' time to cover your ears and hide your wallets.

How exactly has anyone attempted to "prevent [your] free dialogue"? If anything, I want you to keep talking, because your own words indict your dumb, racist ass way better than anything that I could say ever could.

Al Qaeda hasn’t attacked us in the United States since 2001 because its leaders have been following Napoleon’s advice never to interrupt the enemy when he is making a grave mistake. Our grave mistakes under the Bush Administration include destroying the morale of our armed forces, stretching the nation’s defenses thin, wrecking our own economy, and sabotaging our goodwill abroad. When we get a rational president who begins improving the economy, restoring civil rights, pulling us out of the hopeless quagmire in Iraq and uniting the nation, then Al Qaeda will attack. Loud gloating will be heard from under a shady tree on a mountain bike trail in Crawford, Texas.

That IS a good one ... not lying about being bigots is their main claim to moral authority....hahahahahaha ...somebody send some of this stuff to a lib blogger...they're too good to be true.

Evan Sayet said...

Leftists call everyone who disagrees with them "bigots" or "racists" or "Islamophobes," etc. because, having rejected rational thought, they can figure out no other reason that anyone wouldn't be as indiscriminate and mindless as they are.

This way of "thinking" has a number of different names. Some call it "multiculturalism" where every culture, from America where literally every religion and nationality lives in peace and prosperity to the Islamic world where you are often murdered because you are an "infidel," -- no less than a "pig and a monkey."

This, by the way, is the gist of the rest of the piece I was going to post, but got busy with an assignment and then moved on to the leftists' failure at the Academy Awards -- lowest rated in history!

Oh, and for those of you keen on a leftist victory in the fall, McCain is leading in some national polls and only a few points behind, despite the best efforts of the leftists at the New York Times to smear him (and the best efforts of the leftist media to create a God out of Obama).

Leftists ALWAYS lead early (I think Dukakis was up by something like twenty points, Kerry just a little less) because it's always attractive to be promised everything for doing nothing, but when the time comes to actually vote, you get the Carter (second term), Mondale, Dukakis, Kerry treatment.

As terrible as the left likes to portray things in America...how hateful and wrong Bush has been and how we're only going to get Bush again if McCain is elected, and with as biased and dishonest a media as we have here in favor of the left, it SURE is interesting that McCain's showing so well in national polls. Anybody'd think he'd be losing by twenty .... he isn't.
