In 2000, the great Al Gore chose Joe Lieberman to be his running mate, in essence telling America that it was his belief -- his endorsement -- that Lieberman was the one person in all of America to be but a heartbeat away from the presidency. Four years later, Gore betrayed his "friend" and former partner to endorse the wholly unknown (and mentally disturbed) Howard Dean.
In 2004 John Kerry told us that, of all the people in the country, it was John Edwards who was best qualified to be but a heartbeat away from the presidency. Four years later, with Edwards but one of three leftist contenders still standing, Kerry again exhibited the Democrat party trait of selling out your partners for personal gain, and jumped on the Obama band wagon.
If the Democrats in the know, the leaders of the party, are so misguided as to pick the wrong people to be their running mates, how are they going to pick the right people to ally with around the world when they're dealing with terrorists and dictators and others?

Republicans, of course, only pick vice presidents who aren't able to muster up enough of the confidence of the American people to even run for president (see: Dan Quayle, Dick Cheney). Once again, Evan, your partisan hackery gets a big fat F
Yeah,hahaha...this is his silliest yet. Quayle was a national joke and Cheney is a national nightmare ans well as being the most hated freak in the US and the globe. And Republicans never change their minds about political alliances. Silly, little man.
I agree that republicans aren't always very good at picking running mates either. In fact, I think the way we pick our candidates is completely messed up. This whole process needs to be revisited. ...and if we are to have primaries, they should be run by the states at the same exact time. Then maybe everyone would feel that their vote counts when picking a candidate. I digress.
That said, I do think Dick Cheney was a perfect fit for vice president. He is extremely intelligent and fit for the job. Democrats acknowledged this when they were calling Bush a puppet president with Cheney at the controls. Bush is obviously his own man. He is much more liberal than Cheney in many cases and they have disagreed on many major issues. Cheney doesn't overstep his office though. Of course, he has been vilified by the left, as every other truly conservative republican, with falsehoods. Bill Clinton had no-bid contracts with Haliburton just like the current administration, and so did other presidents because there isn't anyone else out there that can do what Haliburton does. Furthermore, Cheney cut off all ties with that company before going into office. This has all been completely studied and proven. And outside of your little world of hate, people love Cheney. He's a hero to many conservatives including myself. He's a man of wisdom, compassion, and strength.
And outside of your little world of hate, people love Cheney.
If you honestly believe this, then you're further gone than anyone could have possibly thought. Learn how to read a poll.
Cheney is universally hated around the world except by mindless ideologues...I like that compassion part...here's a freak so blood thirsty that his favorite passtime is going out and slaughtering...for fun...several hundred beautiful birds in one day. Utter filth and a sociopath of the lowest order...make that ordure. And another chickehhawk coward as well. Anyone decent hates scum like this.
Learn how to read a poll.
Polls are shit - but even if you want to believe every poll you read and put stock in it, then why don't you look at the Democratic congress's popularity? The lowest in the history of the United States! I am a conservative, and among our kind, Cheney is loved. I'd like you to produce something that Cheney has said that was hateful or lacking thought. He is one of the calmest, level headed politicians I have ever seen.
Utter filth and a sociopath of the lowest order...make that ordure. And another chickehhawk coward as well. Anyone decent hates scum like this.
No facts, just name calling. You guys are really bright.
Actually, this...it is YOUR partisanship that is being exposed. First, I note you did not make any defense of your leaders betrayals of their partners, only went on the attack. So, I'll assume betrayal is just fine with you.
The cartoonish presentation of Cheney by your co-ideologist below -- the most hated man on the globe -- gives some hint as to the "thinking" of the Democrat. You see, to me, the most hated folks on the globe are fascist terrorists, to the leftist it is Americans.
I don't need to read a poll because I don't judge right and wrong on how many other people say something. That's what children do. It's called "peer pressure" and it explains the leftists adoration for the corrupt and evil United Nations. After all, the popular kids in the Sudan -- when they're not committing genocide -- hate America, so I'll hate America, too.
So, the leftist press tells us that the French hate America. Then the French vote and they elect Ssrkozy, running on a platform of ending Jacques Chirac's pitiful policies and allying with America. The leftists base their efforts to help the terrorists win on the "fact" that Germany is against us...oh, well, out with Gerhard Schroeder, in with the pro-American Merkel.
The world doesn't hate us...the Islamic terrorists and the Democrats do.
Well, of course, we're partisan...though not as mindlessly, ridiculously, mechanically or simple mindedly as you are. The defense...as though one were needed re your inane charges of "betrayal" is that it is overheated, grasping at straws idiocy to begin with. Certainly nothing on the order of GW's McCain has a li'l black luvchild in the southern primaries. We don't really give a big shit if pol alliances change. If you seriously want to whine about it in your usual shrill and unconvincing babble, I'm sure you could find hundreds of similar cases on both sides. Personally, it just makes me yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawn.
As for Cheney, his tame bird "hunting" practices are a FACTUAL piece of evidence of his vileness...and of course his war mongering lust is another. This guy is truly sub-human.
The Frenchman is anything but the kind of closet nazi dingaling you are. And there were many other reasons for his election than what they think of the US.
Hahaha...yeah, they don't pay them poles no nevah mind when they don't like what they say. America hates you, weirdo...I wonder why?
First, I note you did not make any defense of your leaders betrayals of their partners
I'm sure (actually I'm not, but I'll assume for the sake of argument) that you have at least a passing familiarity of the history of this country, and that therefore you are aware that running mates are picked as often for their ability to gain votes as for their actual politics. Gore, as a southern politician, picked the northerner Lieberman. The northerner Kerry picked the southerner Edwards. Neither man picked his favorite person in the world, but the person who was most likely to gain the votes that he couldn't.
Once again, you expose your own ignorance of this country's history. Read up some time on the saga of Eisenhower's endorsement of Richard Nixon in 1960, if you want to actually educate yourself about the realities of the political world, and maybe you'll gain enough perspective to write meaningful political copy, instead of pathetic diatribes to the wingnuttiest denizens of the internet.
As for Cheney, his tame bird "hunting" practices are a FACTUAL piece of evidence of his vileness...and of course his war mongering lust is another. This guy is truly sub-human.
Hunting is a perfectly natural thing for people to do. Even for atheists that believe we are all just animals descendant from a big bang or whatever. Hunting is something all animals do. Furthermore, most libs eat the same birds and livestock we do. Caged animals bred for slaughter. How can you criticize the hunter when you eat these animals. Even vegetarians eat grain and vegetables harvested by machines that kill millions of animals every season. What shallow thinking this is. If you're talking about the hunting accident he wqas involved in. He took full responsibility for his error as did the victim that was not following park rules. I respect any man that takes responsibility. When I look at liberal politicians, they lie and make excuses for their mistakes. That is indeed worthy of criticism.
..and of course his war mongering lust is another.
I forgot to address this. First, he did not make the call to go to war, Bush and the congress did. And you precious democrats were part of that. Even now, your lovely democrats are still funding it. How it must hurt for you to hear that.
Hunting in a legitimate way is one thing, simpleton...going out and slaughtering HUNDREDS of tame birds in one day, over and over again,is neither hunting or human. As is killing frogs in the back pond for fun...this kind of behaviour is strongly associated with psychopathology. And, sick little weasels that see nothing wrong with that are bound to be the kind of crude moral idiots that make up the insane far right wing which this country is so utterly repudiating.
My all-time favorite Dick Cheney video.
Hunting in a legitimate way is one thing, simpleton...going out and slaughtering HUNDREDS of tame birds in one day, over and over again,is neither hunting or human. As is killing frogs in the back pond for fun...
Why don't you prove this to me with some facts.Of course mass slaughter of animals just for kicks is not a sign of a healthy person. I have never seen a legitimate source for this garbage. Sounds like slander to me.
.
That was supposed to have text that read - "his hunting party killed 417 caged birds, and Cheney himself killed 70." Not that I think, in the grand scheme of things, this is even close to the worst thing Cheney has done in his life. But there are the facts for you, plain as day.
Why don't you prove this to me with some facts.
!!!!!!!!Astonishing...This has been all over the place for years. No one denies this...especially Cheney. Do your own reasearch.
My all-time favorite Dick Cheney video.
This only proves my point - the point that Cheney has a mind of his own, and isn't the puppet master for the president.
I have seen this and I remember the news from the GHW Bush era. I personally thing not taking care of the job then was a big mistake. It was a sign of weakness and Hussain took advantage of it by breaking all of his commitments to the UN. I think Cheney has acknowledged this when we had to go back and finish the job a few years ago.
That is just one of his many "hunts" He does it constantly.
Proof? Do you see that is the gossip column? HA! You have anything else besides gossip? Everything I've read has quoted unconfirmed gossip.
Yes, it's not so bad is it "makes me laugh?" Only homo sapiens amount to anything....right?
Except that every bad thing that he said would happen in that interview in 1994 did, actually, happen. He was motherfucking Nostradamus in 1994 and then, 9 short years later, he turned into Leonard Shelby. We are almost 5 years into the war in Iraq and, politically, almost no progress has been made. The Kurds threaten secession, the Turkish government (our best ally in the Muslim world) is having a conniption and the violence-reducing surge has to end sooner or later. Cheney is not wholly responsible for our disastrous policy, of course, but he's a key architect, and the White House's bluntest object. This war has cost almost 4000 Americans their lives and 160,000 Iraqis theirs, with no real end in sight, and once upon a time Dick Cheney had the sense to realize that sort of thing would happen.
Hey, Justin...did you see where I told you to do your own research? Do you think I'd actually try to prove anything to a hopeless mess like you? That was not my link...someone else put that in there.
Yes, it's not so bad is it "makes me laugh?" Only homo sapiens amount to anything....right?
Focus your laser beams of doom on the wingnuts, not your allies. Given the unprecedented levels of secrecy and power Cheney has helped give to the executive, things that may never be fully rolled back yes, I think a few dead birds are the least of our problems.
I'll focus them on my enemies, and that includes people who say things like "a few dead birds." That kind of moral obtuseness toward nature and other animals is at the bottom of our impending catastrophe. Is that bad enough for you?
I noticed that nobody replied to my comment:
First, he (Cheney) did not make the call to go to war, Bush and the congress did. And your precious democrats were part of that. Even now, your lovely democrats are still funding it. How it must hurt for you to hear that.
I wonder why?
As a reformed waterfowler, I may not be as strong on this as egal is, but I think the attitude that any piece of homo sapien flesh is everything and every other critter in nothing is really at the heart of our mess, too. That's why these anti-choice idiots think a microscopic blob of fertilized egg is a "sacred" thing that we have to tie ourselves in knots over...among other things...
Cheney did tell GW to go to war...and most of us would like to throw our "lovely democrats" out.
...and most of us would like to throw our "lovely democrats" out.
Amen brother! We are on the same page.

The issue is not a scientific one. Honestly, it's a spiritual/ethical one. If you are an atheist, then eugenics and similar philosophies make sense. The value of a human life is no different than that of a mosquito. It is impossible to argue right and wrong with a relativist liberal. When you have no moral compass, nothing is truly right or wrong. It's all relative to your own personal beliefs. So there you go.. that's why these discussions will go nowhere.
Amen brother! We are on the same page.
Believe me, naive one...we are NOT on the same page.
Haha...check this out below...this little fool has actually been memorizing the goofy monkey, suckette...

Hello Evan,
Another great post, Thanks for the sanity. I'll ignore your god-awful trolls after I laugh at their incredible naivete a little. It must be their life's only excitement--foaming at the mouth and spewing venom and diatribes. I'll be they sit at their computers constantly checking to see if you have put out some more red meat--then refreshing the screen to see their pearls of wisdom on the screen. Just kidding about pearls of wisdom.
Amazing how much time liberals spend flaming Evans blog. It seems the response to everything is, "you are a hopeless naive wingnut moron. your ideas are stupid and so are you." Instead of an intelligent discussion, it's condescension and vitriol. It is very revealing. I honestly get so into these discussions that I could go on all day, but since it's going nowhere and will never end, I am going to just read and laugh. Keep up the good work Evan. The number of libs flaming your blog has a direct correlation to the effectiveness of your words.

It is pointless. You are a pessimist that refuses to see the progress in Iraq, and refuses to see the consequences of leaving. Success in Iraq can only be achieved by finishing the job, and all evidence points to that happening. Why do you think the democratic candidates have dropped it as ammo against republicans? I also believe we were justified in going in, and we should have gone in much earlier instead of playing games with the UN and their oil-for-food program. At the time, both Clintons were in support of doing something about Iraq, even before the WOMD report. It's all partisan for you. You are invested in defeat (as so many conservatives have said). You cannot be positive about it without admitting you are wrong or were wrong in the past. Like I said, it's a pointless discussion. All the views have been communicated, and not we are just going around in circles.
He condemns this, but supports the human equivalent.
haha...invested in defeat...anyone who'd done that when these clowns came into office would be a billionaire now.
Seriously, "invested in defeat"? That's the best you can come up with?
You are the one invested in defeat. You support an administration that has bungled every aspect of this war, from intelligence, to the number of troops needed to do the job right, disbanding the Iraqi army, covering up scandals like Abu Ghraib and the Pat Tillman report. An administration that has refused, from the word go, to listen to outside voices, and to build a real coalition to fight this war. An administration that decided that, rather than find the man responsible for 9/11, our military attention should be diverted to a country that had nothing to do with 9/11. An administration that will end up spending 1 trillion dollars on a nation-building exercise, with no clear indication about who is going to pay for it. There continues to be little political progress, and no reason to believe that when the surge ends, the violence won't increase once again thanks to the ethnic tensions that Dick Cheney foresaw in 1994 and forgot in 2003. You are the one invested in a failure of a war, and therefore you are the one invested in defeat.
Republicans sure know how to invest in defeet?
But those dhimmicrats...
they're sumptin' else all together!
Didn't they know we were taping them?
Yep, they sure know how to invest in de feet.
Eeyore said it best though.
I can't wait for these to start playing 24/7...

This coming from the party of Dick Cheney. And speaking of betrayal, did you ever read about Kerry's anger with what Edwards did and didn't do for Kerry's campaign in 2004? No, of course you didn't.
And outside of your little world of hate, people love Cheney.
15% of people. Not even all the 25%-ers love cheney.
Cheney doesn't overstep his office though.
Which is not part of executive branch, anyway, right?
I'd like you to produce something that Cheney has said that was hateful or lacking thought. He is one of the calmest, level headed politicians I have ever seen.
Murtha "and the other senior leaders...march to the tune of Nancy Pelosi to an extent I had not seen, frankly, with any previous speaker," Cheney said. "I’m trying to think how to say all of this in a gentlemanly fashion, but [in] the Congress I served in, that wouldn’t have happened. . They are not carrying the big sticks I would have expected."
Hunting is something all animals do.
Except herbivores.
Justin, can I ask you, are you married? Have you ever been married.
I'll volunteer that I am neither married, nor have I ever been married.
We should probably put sandwich this clip with (R) campaign ads...
Here are just some of the improvements under "Cheney's 'disastrous' policies":
Libya has given up their weapons of mass destruction. Syria has ended their brutal, thirty-year occupation of Lebanon. Terrorism against the innocent children and women and men of Israel is down way over 90 percent. Pakistan, a nuclear armed enemy aiding and abetting the terrorists under Bill Clinton, are an ally now fighting the terrorists and providing intelligence as to who and what nuclear secrets were sold.
The terrorists are down two state sponsors (Afghanistan and Iraq), the terrorists have been either killed, captured or forced to hide in the hills, unable to use their cellphones or their computers to order terror attacks.
Oh, yeah, terrorism against America is down, down, down...with our embassies no longer being blown up in Africa, our ships at sea no longer being nearly sunk and our buildings in New York, Washington and elsewhere having not once been attacked since the day Bush/cheney changed our longstanding policy of appeasing the terrorists to fighting them.
Other than that? Oh, not much.
Wowzus...Suckit is a good name for this guy...he wants to count Pakistan as a big policy win for Cheney when even the GOP is admitting it's a hair away from being lost to the extremists...now there's a real nightmare. As for the rest of those "accomplishments, most have nothing to do with Cheney..and his can't make a deal Sec'y of Impotence, Condi...or are wildly exaggerated.
Oh, yeah, terrorism against America is down, down, down...
Um, what about in Iraq and Afghanistan?
Not a bear in sight. The bear patrol is working like a charm!
I'm back--and I'm not Evan. I AM a professor and you are...uh..underwear? skivvies?
Kate is back...from where? Damn fine blog you got...blank like your diploma.
I don't have a blog. I just read blogs. Yes, I'm back, but I am not a stalker. I'm a fan--and I'm old enough to vote.
Evan, I'm watching the debate. I do hope you'll write something about this one--it's wild. Ron Paul is the mouth that roared.
Kerry was actually supporting Edwards by endorsing Obama.
He knows his endorsement is the kiss of death.
Evan, I'm watching the debate. I do hope you'll write something about this one--it's wild. Ron Paul is the mouth that roared.
Christ yes...write something...your weird comedy is too good to miss...whaddya teach, Kate, Rationalization 444?
I watched the debate, and if those were the only candidates to choose from, i would vote for Paul (or McCain).

I'll volunteer that I am neither married, nor have I ever been married.
I'm not sure why you ask, but yes, I am married and have five beautiful children - the youngest an infant and the oldest 11. This is my first (and will be my only) marriage.

So, anybody tamed you yet?
Only one wife? For your entire life? Obviously a career in Republican Presidential politics is not in your future.
GOP Hypocrit alert:
January 11, 2008
Chuck Rosenthal
Welcome back to the BuzzFlash GOP Hypocrite of the Week, as we return to one of our favorite stomping grounds: Texas.
Why? Because there are more GOP hypocrites in the Lone Star State than fat flies hovering over a pile of cow dung.
This week, we are buzzing around Republican star and Houston (Harris County) District Attorney Chuck Rosenthal, aka "Mr. Executioner."
The hypocrisy alarm all started when the righteous Christian, on his second marriage, was found to be sending romantic e-mails to his secretary, with whom he had an acknowledged affair during his first marriage. (Why do all these Republican "moral values" hypocrites have lives like tawdry soap operas?)
Other e-mails were described as "racist jokes, political strategizing and a video of men forcibly tearing women's blouses in public."
Meanwhile, moving from the purple prose to politics, it appears that Rosenthal campaigned out of his office, on taxpayer time. This is, as a prosecutor might tell you, illegal.
Here is how one local television station reports Rosenthal's "predicament" (brace yourself):
Of all the things found on Chuck Rosenthal's county e-mail account, the pornography is the most salacious and a photograph that shows an African-American man, surrounded by fried chicken and half-eaten watermelon, is perhaps the most offensive.
However, neither that racially insensitive photo nor the porn are as potentially damaging as something like barbecue campaign fundraiser e-mails, legal and political experts said.
The reason?
"Campaign laws in this state are very clear. Elected officials are not to use their office, their personnel or its equipment for purposes of promoting their candidacy," said 11 News political expert Bob Stein.
Ah yes, but who will prosecute the prosecutor?
Meanwhile, Rosenthal is standing firm against calls for his resignation. After all, why should he be singled out amidst a veritable sea of Republican hypocrites in Texas?
Alas, poor Chuck did the only thing the GOP has trouble with: he got caught.
So if it's any consolation, Prosecutor Rosenthal, we are giving you an award: You are officially declared the BuzzFlash GOP Hypocrite of the Week.
Remember our motto: So many Republican hypocrites, so little time.
Only one wife? For your entire life? Obviously a career in Republican Presidential politics is not in your future.
Unless you're either GW/GHW Bush, Cheney, Huckabee, or Romney. All recent republicans up at the top of presidential politics with healthy marriages to their first wife. Cheney, whom you vilify, has the coolest wife in politics if you ask me. Why don't you answer me this. Do the Clintons have a healthy, stable, loving marriage? Why do you think Hillary has stayed loyal to her husband through all he's put her through? Answer that honestly and you'll see how sad that marriage is.
No.
It was a joke, dude. You remember jokes, right? "He gave me a 10 inch pianist"? A priest and a rabbi? This site? You know, jokes?
Oh...fabulous...stop REPRODUCING dipstick. Typical, self indulgent, oblvious wingbat. Idiocracy on the way.
Some foresight you have. If the democrats don't start reproducing in mass soon, the liberal populous will dwindle to nothing like the Europeans have. They have practically aborted themselves out of existence while the Islamic immigrants are having 10 kids each. Did you know that Mohammad is becoming the most common name in most European countries? When I'm enjoying my children and grandchildren at 80, you and your self-serving childless liberal buddies will be all alone in a old folks home going senile. Honestly, that makes me sad. I wouldn't wish that on anyone.
Oh liberals...
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
"I watched the debate, and if those were the only candidates to choose from, i would vote for Paul (or McCain)." - Dora
Of course you would. You are a lib and so are these 2 candidates.
I watched the Democratic debate and if those were the only candidates, I wouldn't vote at all.
I'm not sure why you ask, but yes, I am married and have five beautiful children - the youngest an infant and the oldest 11. This is my first (and will be my only) marriage.
I was asking in relation to your pro-life stance, and to be honest, your answer surprised me.
It's my opinion that if you're a pro-life man, you should only be having sex within marriage, or you should get a vascetomy. There is hardly a greater hypocrite than a pro-life man who has pre-marital sex.
And don't you think it's a little arrogant of you to assume that she will be your only wife? I know that's what you want, but what if she dies? Woudl you never remarry? What if you died, would you want her to remarry?
Also, Justin, you and your wife have 5 kids, aged from 11 to a few months. That means that for the last 10 years, your wife has been pregnant half of the time. Whoa!
If the democrats don't start reproducing in mass soon, the liberal populous will dwindle to nothing like the Europeans have. They have practically aborted themselves out of existence while the Islamic immigrants are having 10 kids each.
Um, I'm pretty sure that's not the case. Otherwise, there would only be Muslims in Europe. Also, I don't really see what is so inherently wrong with Muslims.
Also, if political orientation were inherited, you might have a point. But surely you know people who were raised liberal, and became conservative and vice versa.
When I'm enjoying my children and grandchildren at 80, you and your self-serving childless liberal buddies will be all alone in a old folks home going senile. Honestly, that makes me sad. I wouldn't wish that on anyone.
So you had your kids so they will keep you company when you're old? What if they don't want to? Are you going to force them somehow? There's no guarantee, cuz they grow up to be their own people. They might grow up to be liberals, or abortion doctors, or criminals or feminists, they might even disown you and not visit you.
Also, how are you going to force them to give you grandchildren? Cuz if you can't, that's not guaranteed.
"I watched the debate, and if those were the only candidates to choose from, i would vote for Paul (or McCain)." - Dora
Of course you would. You are a lib and so are these 2 candidates.
Ron Paul a lib? Maybe you meant a libertarian.
dora... looking for a life with absolute guarantees. Won't settle for probabilities.

I know our family will be close because there is love at home. I devote my free time to my family and do my best the raise them to be responsible, intelligent adults. Families often fall apart because parents put their careers, hobbies, and love lives before their responsibilities as parents. They send their kids off to school then day care or wherever. My family has been close generation after generation. It works, and the statistics prove it. The traditional family structure is the foundation of our nation. It all starts there. If my kids make mistakes as I did, they will learn from it. I don't hate people because they have different views than me. I will love my kids even if they turn out to be wacko liberal law students.
It's my opinion that if you're a pro-life man, you should only be having sex within marriage, or you should get a vascetomy. There is hardly a greater hypocrite than a pro-life man who has pre-marital sex.
Everyone is either a hypocrite or has no ethical values whatsoever. I have done things I know are wrong, and I will continue to make mistakes up because that is the nature of mankind. The difference between myself and a liberal is this: First, I admit to my mistake, then I take responsibility for it.
I know our family will be close because there is love at home. I devote my free time to my family and do my best the raise them to be responsible, intelligent adults.
Except all the time you spend blogging.
Families often fall apart because parents put their careers, hobbies, and love lives before their responsibilities as parents.

hahaha...they actually got these silly, uneducated little fruitcakes worried about this...typically using racism and religious narrowness...Islam was ascendant when WE were in the middle ages, dippy...and their culture had much to do with pulling us out...it is FUNDAMENTALIST Islam which is retrograde...precisely in the way that FUN-DEMENTED Xtianity or Judaism is...it is not the specific religion, but the right wing versions of those beliefs which are hideous and destructive and they have their counterparts in all cultures. You are a much more insidious enemy than any moderate or liberal Islamicist...your kind is a vile pest which exists in all cultures...that's the nature of the real war of the ages.
The difference between myself and a liberal is this: First, I admit to my mistake, then I take responsibility for it...blahblah awrk...
Silly little twit is training to take over Sayet's parrot schtick. Have you admitted to the monumental, unheard of failures and corruption in your party? It is the most corrupt in history and the most inept...America knows it but the 25% keep lying and dodging...you are the most irresponsible and accountable creeps on the planet and you go on about your adulthood...I pity your children.
Hey, what about that real professor? Anyone who can read the simpleminded automaton drivel of Sayet without laughing does NOT have the critical skills to explicate Shakespeare for a pre-schooler.
More Trouble at Anal Robert's Eweniversity
Hinn and Dollar are among six televangelists being investigated by Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassley to determine if the high-profile preachers violated their organizations' tax-exempt status by living lavishly on the backs of small donors. They have denied wrongdoing.
The resignations follow that of Richard Roberts, who stepped down as university president in November amid allegations he misspent school funds to bankroll a lavish lifestyle.
Former regent Harry McNevin, who resigned 20 years ago over what he says was excessive spending by Oral and Richard Roberts, said Thursday's resignations couldn't have come soon enough.
Pop quiz: what if one of your kids turns out to be GAY?
I would still love my child of course. It doesn't mean I have to agree with their choice of lifestyle. Look at Dick Cheney and Alan Keyes. Guess what, even though their children have chosen a gay lifestyle, they love their children and their children love them. Both have supported their fathers candidacy. Imagine that! Your misconceptions are completely inline with the propaganda spewed by the liberal media.
...and yes, I said CHOSEN a gay lifestyle. First, you cannot prove it's not chosen, and I can prove that a large percentage of "gays" choose to become "straight" again after they realize the follies of their youth. Let me be very clear. I don't hate homosexuals, but I disagree with their choice of lifestyle. Because of this, I have very good working relationships with homosexuals, and they know where I stand. I believe that all of us are sinners, and it is not the place of an individual to judge the salvation of another. You don't have to agree with everything somebody does to love them.
I don't hate homosexuals, but I disagree with their choice of lifestyle.
I'm fairly certain none of them are asking for your opinion.
First, you cannot prove it's not chosen, and I can prove that a large percentage of "gays" choose to become "straight" again after they realize the follies of their youth.
Oh yeah? Well go on then.
justin,
dora's life is cr*p. Only child. No friends. A so-called boyfriend who won't commit. A mom and dad both glad to be finally rid of her. She's tens of thousands of dollars in debt and will have to work 80 hour days for the next 5 years just to pay her student loans back.
She just wants you to feel as crappy about your life and she does about hers. That, and she's writing down every sin/confession you make so that she can throw it in your face in every debate she ever has with you in the future.
Dora, you're pathetic.
And your boyfriend, the under-pantless one, doesn't even seem to be out of high school yet. You really should buy a dog or something.
...and yes, I said CHOSEN a gay lifestyle. First, you cannot prove it's not chosen, and I can prove that a large percentage of "gays" choose to become "straight" again after they realize the follies of their youth.
Can I ask you, if homosexuality is a choice, don't you think that Ted Haggard and Larry Craig would have CHOSEN not to engage in it?
Both have supported their fathers candidacy. Imagine that!
um, no, maya keyes is a democrat.
I don't hate homosexuals, but I disagree with their choice of lifestyle. Because of this, I have very good working relationships with homosexuals, and they know where I stand.
Interesting. So you're saying you know homosexuals personally? Do you know any Muslims personally?
In the words of that Clinton adviser: "If you have a social need, you're with Hillary. If you want Obama to be your imaginary hip black friend and you're young and you have no social needs, then he's cool."
Like I said, dora, buy a dog.
Speaking Tuesday to the New York Post's Fred Dicker, whose show airs on Albany's Talk 1300 radio station, Andrew Cuomo said of the early primaries: "It's not a TV-crazed race. Frankly, you can't buy your way through."
He added later, "You have to sit down with 10 people in a living room. You can't shuck and jive at a news conference; you can't just put off reporters, because you have real people looking at you, saying 'answer the question.'"
I wonder which candidate he was talking about? (not really)
Obama Campaign lashing out at racist Clintons...
“A cross-section of voters are alarmed at the tenor of some of these statements,” said a Obama spokeswoman Candice Tolliver, who said that Clinton would have to decide whether or not she owed anyone an apology.
“There’s a groundswell of reaction to these comments – and not just these latest comments but really a pattern, or a series of comments that we’ve heard for several months,” she said. “Folks are beginning to wonder: Is this really an isolated situation or is there something bigger behind all of this?” Clinton supporters responded to that suggestion with their own outrage.
“To say that there is a pattern of racist comments coming out of the Hillary campaign is ridiculous,” said Ohio Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones. “All of the world knows the commitment of President Clinton and Senator Clinton to civil rights issues – and not only the commitment in terms of words but in terms of deeds.”
LOL! Scratch a democrat, find a racist!
Baloney for sale! Get your fresh baloney!
The Democratic candidate of "change," for example, has raised nearly $100 million in campaign contributions, nearly as much as the Hillary Clinton money machine. Three of his four largest group of bankrollers are executives of Wall Street giants Goldman Sachs, Lehman Brothers and JPMorgan Chase.
What kind of change is that?
Among his other top contributors are executives of Exelon Corp., the largest nuclear power operator in the nation. In 2005, Obama talked in a Senate hearing of leaving "on the table" the building of new nuclear power plants - the kind of change that has Exelon ecstatic.
There is much to admire in the Obama campaign, but his attempt to be both champion to the downtrodden and cultivator of corporate titans is not one of them.
Really? You're going to go with that? Christ, no wonder the Republican party is so fucking rudderless.
Ouch...Farmer John has definitely got a thing for Dora...Hell hath no fury like a dirty old Republican scorned.
When are these pathetic baboons going to give up on that racist Democrat thing...see, chimps, you've got to convince dem darkies of that...not just your own stupid buddies...and every year they hate the GOP a little more...lost the Latinos too...that was going to be their next big constituency with GW at the helm...ran that one right up on the rocks too.
Hillary disses all blacks and MLK in particular.
She must believe that the white liberals in DC freed blacks from Jim Crow and that the Civil Rights movement was a sham to make blacks feel good about themselves.
Johnson: "Y'all be empowered now, he'ah! Go forth and fornicate!"
...but his attempt to be both champion to the downtrodden and cultivator of corporate titans is not one of them.
And losing the corp titans is really scaring the crap out of the Reps...they bought and paid for the GOP and it turned out to be so crazy and incompetent, even the pig money is dropping them.
Simes,
Your the one with her panties on your head. LOL!
um, no, maya keyes is a democrat.
She is indeed a pro-life anarchist. However, she has gone on the campaign trail with her dad, even after "coming out". You need to study up a little.
Racist NH Democratic b*stards!
Scarborough: What the hell happened in New Hampshire?
Matthews: You remember the Lone Ranger and Tonto? I think paleface speak with forked tongue. You hear me? Forked tongue. . . . I thought this was over. I thought it ended with "macaca." . . . I thought white voters stopped being what they didn't want to be. You know what it tells me? People aren't proud of who they are. They aren't proud of who they are. If they want to vote for Hillary Clinton, fine. Why don't they say so?
Scarborough: I'm used to people saying that we in the South have problems. . . .
Matthews: There's different kind of prejudice in the North than in the South. But it exists. It may not be "I think I'm better than you," but it might be "I don't want to live next door to you."
Donna Brazile, a former consultant to both Bill Clinton and Al Gore, criticized Mr. Clinton directly for comments he made between Iowa and New Hampshire:
It sounds like sour grapes coming from the former commander in chief, someone that many Democrats hold in high esteem. For him to go after Obama using "fairy tale," calling him a "kid," as he did last week, it's an insult. And I tell you, as an African-American, I find his words and his tone to be very depressing.
If we were a Democrat, we suspect we'd find the whole exercise in identity politics depressing.
Racist NH Democratic b*stards!
Do you know the meaning of projection? Screamer has a prob with Hillary because she's a woman; real democrats have a problem with her because she's a DLC corporate whore, a rabid Zionist and a war monger. She got a last minute bounce from her sob job and the attacks from right wing morons ...and maybe more than a little from some bad voting machines...looks like we might get a recount.
In the words of that Clinton adviser: "If you have a social need, you're with Hillary. If you want Obama to be your imaginary hip black friend and you're young and you have no social needs, then he's cool."
Like I said, dora, buy a dog.
i have enough hip black friends. But I know who doesn't have any black friends. *wink wink*
simple little naifs don't seem to know that primary opponents go after each other...if we wanted to waste the time, we could show them the GOPricks eating each other alive...but who over 18 would think that was news?
Sounds like Slimes is not a Hellary man. So, what will you do if she's your nominee...bong bong bong?
O’Reilly: Fox Vandalized, Attacked

Bill O’Reilly says all Fox News employees are now “cautious” after several run-ins during coverage of the New Hampshire primary that were fueled by “anti-Fox hatred.”
In his syndicated column out this week, O’Reilly described attacks on Fox that border on violence.
Right's cracking up totally...Paul supporters at work...
“I saw the anti-Fox hatred first-hand when I traveled to New Hampshire. Fox News vehicles have been vandalized; FNC reporters cursed; and all Fox News personnel are cautious,” the cable news star writes.
tighten my nose plugs and voter for her...she'll still be a lot better than anything you've go on enviro...judges...and competence...
Do you know the meaning of projection?
Tell that to the Obama Campaign. LOL!
Like I said, dora, buy a dog.
i have enough hip black friends.
LOL!

Sounds like three hits for our side, simple simesman. What's Hillary got other than a useless limp-lump for a husband? Is that whu she has to grind groins with that Paki-chick?
GW WAGES WAR ON TERROR...ON THEIR SIDE.
Bush Visits His Odious Saudi Friend

A lot of Dems will be doing just that, and with the idiot Repukes' slime trail leading right back to Bush so will many other voters.
Suckette sez: with Edwards but one of three leftist contenders still standing, Kerry again exhibited the Democrat party trait of selling out your partners for personal gain, and jumped on the Obama band wagon.
What absurdity! A politician can never change his alliances? I know you don't have much material, but this is really the flotsam, jetsam of your lightweight vessel.
Speaking of flotsam and jetsam...
Evan, can you work on attracting a more intelligent class of trolls? This pair haven't produced a coherent argument against any of your positions yet!
...and to think a couple of poo flinging trolls are accusing "republicans" of leaving a "slime trail". That is just too, too rich!
It's become common knowledge that Suckette's blog is manure central. We just comes to laff atchoo monkeys. Btw, keep them hysterikkkal neechee-laced malopropes a cumin'. It may get the classy Dora's attention, but not in the way you want, Farmer Johnson.
Farmer John totes has a thing for me. Guess his wifey isn't cutting it in the anything department... :D
Your predicament reminds me a little of my grandfather's predicament -- he married my grandmother because she obeyed him and cooked and cleaned and bore his child. But then, at the end of his life, in old age, he realized that she was a petty harpy with no interests beyond the most petit bourgeois kind, and that he couldn't' have any sort of interesting discussion about anything with her. And he was very depressed at the thought.
Speakin' of classy dora's predicament...
Given the choice, I'd take dora's grandmother over her in a heartbeat. Grandma sounds like she had quite a few redeeming qualities, whereas dora...
And as for my own "predicament", I can't help it if others fantasize about me.
Oh Lord it's hard to be humble...
Given the choice, I'd take dora's grandmother over her in a heartbeat. Grandma sounds like she had quite a few redeeming qualities, whereas dora...
Remeeding qualities? Like being a good maid?
No wonder some people don't want a woman president.
Redeeming qualities? Like being a good maid?
That, in a nutshell, tells you exactly what a good Republican is. He's a guy with a dog who doesn't know his "master" is a monkey and who adores him. Any breakdown in that perfect, little world and the monkey goes ape.
Wanna know what a good Democrat is? He's a guy with no friends, no pets, no life at all, and who covets and secretly wishes that the Republican's dog didn't like the his master so that it might fetch him bananas at halftime instead.

No, no. We're heartless domineering bitches who make our effeminate boyfriends do everything for us. Don't you get it?! Lol
Is that a confession? LOL!

What I'm saying is that someone who thinks the ideal woman is an obedient maid would think that of my life.
It IS a confession, then! LOL!!!
If you want me to confess that I am not my boyfriend's obedient maid, I confess it freely! :)
Since we agree as to what you are NOT, then we also agree as to what you ARE. :)
Since we agree as to what you are NOT, then we also agree as to what you ARE. :)
Um, that defies basic logic. I am not a Christian. Therefore, I am a ...?
Evan, Evan! Get your fat tushie up to the boudoir. Oy! Do we have to wait until Adar again before I see your tiny--cute, I mean cute, definitely cute-- shmeckle again? Is this the only way I can reach you, anymore? All of these years, and all we have is one half-bright yingl, bracha though he is, who can't even score coke at school. Please, please, bubeleh. How are we going to out-populate those awful brown people if we don't copulate. Yeah, yeah, yeah, missionary style (makes a small moue and rolls eyes). Is tomorrow Tuesday (brightening), bubeleh, when the pool boy, Bashir, cums (cough, choke)comes, comes? All you do anymore is kvetch about those evil old liberals who eternally choose right over wrong, success over failure, yada, yada, yada.... By the way, have you seen that letter from my girls' club...it's in a pink envelop and has our silly--it' a girly thing--secret name on it. Code Pink, isn't that cute? We have a big, um, meeting coming up, and I don't want to miss it. See you upstairs, Meshugeneh.
And, Dora, you are such a snoot:
SNOOT (n) (highly colloq) is a nuclear family's nickname à clef for a really extreme usage fanatic, the sort of person whose idea of Sunday fun is to hunt for mistakes in the very prose of Safire's column ["On Language," in The New York Times Magazine].
This definition of the family word SNOOT (an acronym for "Sprachgefühl Necessitates Our Ongoing Tendance" or "Syntax Nudniks of Our Time") appears in footnote number five of David Foster Wallace's review article "Authority and American Usage" (Consider the Lobster and Other Essays, Little, Brown and Company, 2005). There, the acclaimed author of Infinite Jest devotes more than 50 smart and entertaining pages to the topic of grammar--in particular, to the dispute between "linguistic conservatives" and "linguistic liberals," otherwise known as the Prescriptivists vs. the Descriptivists.
What especially interests us is whether you, wise reader of the Grammar & Composition Blog, would feel comfortable characterizing yourself as a SNOOT. Before responding, consider Wallace's description of "SNOOTitude":
There are lots of epithets for people like this--Grammar Nazis, Usage Nerds, Syntax Snobs, the Grammar Battalion, the Language Police. The term I was raised with is SNOOT. The word might be slightly self-mocking, but those other terms are outright dysphemisms. A SNOOT can be defined as somebody who knows what dysphemism means and doesn't mind letting you know it.
I submit that we SNOOTs are just about the last remaining kind of truly elitist nerd. There are, granted, plenty of nerd-species in today's America, and some of these are elitist within their own nerdy purview (e.g., the skinny, carbuncular, semi-autistic Computer Nerd moves instantly up on the totem pole of status when your screen freezes and now you need his help, and the bland condescension with which he performs the two occult keystrokes that unfreeze your screen is both elitist and situationally valid). But the SNOOT's purview is interhuman social life itself. You don't, after all (despite withering cultural pressure), have to use a computer, but you can't escape language: Language is everything and everywhere; it's what lets us have anything to do with one another; it's what separates us from the animals; Genesis 11:7-10 and so on. And we SNOOTS know when and how to hyphenate phrasal adjectives and to keep participles from dangling, and we know that we know, and we know how very few other Americans know this stuff or even care, and we judge them accordingly.
In ways that certain of us are uncomfortable about, SNOOTs' attitudes about contemporary usage resemble religious/political conservatives' attitudes about contemporary culture: We combine a missionary zeal and a near-neural faith in our beliefs' importance with a curmudgeonly hell-in-a-handbasket despair at the way English is routinely manhandled and corrupted by supposedly literate adults. Plus a dash of the elitism of, say, Billy Zane in Titanic--a fellow SNOOT I know likes to say that listening to most people's public English feels like watching somebody use a Stradivarius to pound nails. We are the Few, the Proud, the More or Less Constantly Appalled at Everyone Else.
As regular visitors to this site may have noticed, we strive to remain on speaking terms with both sides in the Usage Wars. Looking at how language works (description) happens to interest us more than laying down arbitrary laws on how language should be used (prescription). And yet it's clear that most readers arrive at Grammar & Composition in search of rulings, not linguistic ruminations, and so we do try to be accommodating.
But please, speak for yourselves. How do you define your interest in language? Are you a fan of Lynne Truss's Eats, Shoots & Leaves: The Zero Tolerance Approach to Punctuation (2004), or do you feel more at home with David Crystal's The Fight for English: How Language Pundits Ate, Shot, and Left (2007)? Are you inclined to fuss at a child who uses "ain't," or are you more interested in finding out that until the 19th century in both England and America "ain't" was an acceptable usage? In short, do you consider yourself a SNOOT?
Oh, damn, I meant ('xscuzzie), are you a SNOOT. Proud to be a SNOOT.
I appreciate the compliment, but I have to say that I am not constantly appalled, but I do correct other people's serious mistakes, such as inventing words, and misspellings.
At the same time, i love playing with language, and writing in various jargons and voices, including using popular contemporary words (teh gay, totes, natch) , and stylistic freedoms (ain't, y'all, etc.).
Now, Dora, ya gotta nippem inna bud, else they bloxxum into a constellation of sirius perporshums.
