I Can't Not Rant

I was watching (a good deal) of the Democrat debate and what I noticed -- was today and, in fact, is always -- at the heart of their arguments is that the boogeyman is out to get you, "big" "bad" people (read, the successful) are the cause of your unhappiness and if you want change, give me your money and your children and I'll take care of everything for you.

It leaves me wondering, if the drug companies (made up of people, of course, but portrayed as an incomprehensible monster by the leftists) then why has life expectancy gone for about forty years at the beginning of the last century, to nearly two-and-a-half times that for children born today?

It is stunning how the Democrats can never offer new (or mature) proposals. Their answer to everything is more money. Yet, since the leftist takeover of the public schools, funding for education has skyrocketed. Does the leftist NEVER think about the facts? Children educated in one-room school houses at the time of the Revolution were more likely to be literate than those graduating from today's universities.

These kids of yore did not have a computer at every desk -- they didn't even have a textbook at every desk. They didn't even have electric lights. Yet the leftists still argue that the way to make our schools better is to take more money from working people and give it to the leftist unions (who then kick it back to the Democrats).

The candidates gave the rote answer to education yet again when they said that they would pay teachers more money. Okay. But the Fact is that good teachers leave the teaching profession not because of money. How do we know? Because schools conduct exit interviews with these teachers and salary is way down on the list of reasons they no longer wish to continue in the profession they chose -- knowing all along that pay for teachers is not on par with, say, a movie or rock star.

Typically the number one answer for leaving their chosen profession is that they can no longer teach. The refusal of the leftists to allow the adults to control the schools -- the lack of support the teachers receive from the leftist administrators -- is the reason they leave.

But, alas, that's a fact -- and Democrats do not deal in facts. It MUST be money because, being wholly without personal values, the Democrat cannot understand that what is missing from the schools is the teaching of facts and accurate information. Instead they want to teach children how to have sex, instruct them in the use of condoms and, if that fails, drive them to the abortion clinics to cover their (the teachers') failures.

It is not a coincidence that one of the first things the leftists did upon their takeover of the public schools in the Sixties was to end courses in good behavior (we called them "civics" classes) and replace them with how-to courses in indiscriminate and promiscuous sex.

Still the leftists went back time and again to another of their rote answers, that it is up to PARENTS to guide their children -- and then ran off the usual litany of government controlled -- tax-payer funded -- programs in which the leftists would control every aspect of the child's life.

John "Blinky" Edwards argued for wrenching children from the arms of their parents at the age of four or even earlier to thrust them into the leftist collective while, in an earlier debate, Barack Hussein Obama argued that the teaching of sex to five-year-olds would be one of HIS priorities.

Meanwhile, to pay for these pro-leftist/anti-family programs, one of the more sober (at least since high school) of the leftist, Joe "the plagearist" Biden, called for surrendering to the Islamists in the form of destroying virtually every means of self-defense America has.

A weak America, more sex for young children, more socialist programs, attacks on the successful and those who have increased life-expectancy two-and-a-half fold is the Democrats' plan for America. The same-old, same-old from the days of "tune in, turn on, drop out," Jimmy Carter, George McGovern and John Kerry.

I wonder what The (Pinko) Guardian's Matt Lattimer thinks about Iraqi women's situation today... since the Left completely abandoned Iraqi women back in 2003.

"Liberals" wouldn't support Iraqi women right after the invasion, so all their hopes ended up being dashed. Will the Left abandon Iraqi women....AGAIN, after General Petraeus gives them their 2nd chance at freedom?

The Democrats' hatred for America is so complete that they turned over the people of Southeast Asia to genocide rather than have the evils of freedom spread to that region.

They hate America so much that they preferred (and worked for) the continued oppression of Eastern Europe under the thumb of an evil empire rather than see half of Europe live in freedom.

Now their hatred for America sees them selling out thirty million human beings in the Middle East -- where, of course, they side with the Arab/Islamic terrorists in the West Bank and Gaza Strip over the free and open democray of Israel -- just so that this region will not know what they consider the evils of freedom.

The Democrats have repeatedly made their hatred of freedom obvious with statements like "you can't impose freedom," as if freedom is an imposition -- merely a cultural quirk of the Western World, and that spreading freedom is really "cultural genocide," overtaking those other equally right cultures of oppression and fascism.

They make their case again when they support the evil and corrupt United Nations, a place where the genocidal Sudanese are empowered because, well, genocide is just a cultural practice of the Moslem world and what right do we have to think freedom is better than genocide?

The bottom line remains that the Modern Liberal will INVARIABLY and INEVITABLY side with evil over good, wrong over right and the behaviors that lead to failure over those that lead to success -- and since America is the best and most successful nation in human history, the Democrats hate it most of all and thus side with ANY and EVERY one of America's -- and freedom's -- enemies.

The Triumph of Crackpot Realism...or GW and the neocons explained
by Robert Higgs

consortiumnews.com

Excerpt:
In 1958, the New Left sociologist C. Wright Mills made a seminal contribution to political science in his book
The Causes of World War Three, by introducing the concept of “crackpot realism.”

He applied the notion specifically to the intellectual outlook of top government officials, especially the ones known
as the “serious people,” who have proven their capacity for dealing with important practical affairs by, say, managing
a giant corporation, such as Halliburton or G. D. Searle, or a huge educational institution, such as Texas A&M
or the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.

Mills’s key insight was that although such people have indeed been movers and shakers, they have moved and
shaken within such a constricted milieu of experience and training that in most respects they are fools.

Despite having developed supreme confidence in their own judgment and a corresponding contempt for other
people’s views, they are astonishingly ignorant of many workaday aspects of the world and bewildered in the
face of unexpected difficulties. As government leaders responsible for matters of war and peace, they have a
tendency to paint themselves into corners of their own making and, then, seeing no way out, to conclude that
their only escape lies in dropping bombs on somebody.

As Mills observed, “instead of the unknown fear, the anxiety without end,
some men of the higher circles prefer the simplification of known catastrophe.”

Isolation from reality is central to continuation of the leftist cult. This is why the two communities most associated with leftism -- college kids (and their tenured professors) and the Hollywood Elite -- both reside in worlds isolated from reality.

College children have never had jobs, paid their own expenses or lived in an environment where their actions have any consequences. Their permanently infantilized professors have spent their entire lives on the school grounds, isolated from reality by tenure, speaking wholly theoretically.

In fact, this word is so meaningless that the word "academic" is synonymous with the word meaningless as in "it's all academic, anyway, now let's get some work done..."

In Hollywood, where the children are the boss because they become stars when their either literally children (child stars) or in their teens or early twenties, they have so much money they are isolated from the consequences of their policies (e.g., when they destroy the public schools it's okay because their kids go to private ones, when they increase crime by champion rapists and murderers, it's okay because they live in gated communities, in walled-in mansions with state-of-the art security, privately patrolling guards and armed bodyguards whenever they have any chance of actually meeting someone who isn't a multimillionaire child.

These people quite literally PLAY for a living. They PLAY a part in a movie, PLAY the guitar in a band -- even their job is called "a play."

I think you've hit the nail on the head, Evan. Since conquering the ivory tower of academia in the 70's, the Left has divorced itself from practicality and reality and reduced the practice of democratic politics to "silliness"... for they no longer believe in the need to make offerings to Athena nor the weaving of the peplos. They don't feel they need to compromise... since they feel that they know what is right. Liberal Eve has bitten upon a new "apple" of authenticity. Their demand for "order" is so great, they even attempt to prescribe rules for the chaos of war.

Plato, "Statesman"

STRANGER: Only the Statesman and the good legislator, having the inspiration of the royal muse, can implant this opinion, and he, only in the rightly educated, whom we were just now describing.

YOUNG SOCRATES: Likely enough.

STRANGER: But him who cannot, we will not designate by any of the names which are the subject of the present enquiry.

YOUNG SOCRATES: Very right.

STRANGER: The courageous soul when attaining this truth becomes civilized, and rendered more capable of partaking of justice; but when not partaking, is inclined to brutality. Is not that true?

YOUNG SOCRATES: Certainly.

STRANGER: And again, the peaceful and orderly nature, if sharing in these opinions, becomes temperate and wise, as far as this may be in a State, but if not, deservedly obtains the ignominious name of silliness.

YOUNG SOCRATES: Quite true.

STRANGER: Can we say that such a connexion as this will lastingly unite the evil with one another or with the good, or that any science would seriously think of using a bond of this kind to join such materials?

YOUNG SOCRATES: Impossible.

STRANGER: But in those who were originally of a noble nature, and who have been nurtured in noble ways, and in those only, may we not say that union is implanted by law, and that this is the medicine which art prescribes for them, and of all the bonds which unite the dissimilar and contrary parts of virtue is not this, as I was saying, the divinest?

YOUNG SOCRATES: Very true.

STRANGER: Where this divine bond exists there is no difficulty in imagining, or when you have imagined, in creating the other bonds, which are human only.

YOUNG SOCRATES: How is that, and what bonds do you mean?

Abstinence Programs Face Rejection
More States Opt to Turn Down the Federal Money Attached to That Kind of Sex Ed

By Rob Stein
Washington Post Staff Writer
Sunday, December 16, 2007; Page A03

The number of states refusing federal money for "abstinence-only" sex education programs jumped sharply in the past year as evidence mounted that the approach is ineffective.

At least 14 states have either notified the federal government that they will no longer be requesting the funds or are not expected to apply, forgoing more than $15 million of the $50 million available, officials said. Virginia was the most recent state to opt out.

Two other states -- Ohio and Washington -- have applied but stipulated they would use the money for comprehensive sex education, effectively making themselves ineligible, federal officials said. While Maryland and the District are planning to continue applying for the money, other states are considering withdrawing as well.

Until this year, only four states had passed up the funding.

"We're concerned about this," said Stan Koutstaal of the Department of Health and Human Services, which runs the program. "My greatest concern about states dropping out is that these are valuable services and programs. It's the youths in these states who are missing out."

The number of states spurning the money has grown even as Congress considers boosting overall funding for abstinence-only education to $204 million, with most of it going directly to community organizations.

The trend has triggered intense lobbying of state legislators and governors around the country. Supporters of the programs are scrambling to reverse the decisions, while opponents are pressuring more states to join the trend.

"This wave of states rejecting the money is a bellwether," said William Smith of the Sexuality Information and Education Council of the United States, a Washington-based advocacy and education group that opposes abstinence-only programs. "It's a canary in the coal mine of what's to come."

"We hope that it sends a message to the politicians in Washington that this program needs to change, and states need to be able to craft a program that is the best fit for their young people and that is not a dictated by Washington ideologues," Smith said.

Smith and other critics said they hope that if enough states drop out, Congress will redirect the funding to comprehensive sex education programs that include teaching about the use of condoms and other contraceptives.

"I think this could be the straw that breaks the camel's back in terms of continued funding of these programs," said John Wagoner of Advocates for Youth, another Washington advocacy group. "How can they ignore so many states slapping a return-to-sender label on this funding?"

But supporters said they plan to fight for the programs state by state.

House Judiciary Trio Calls for Impeach Cheney Hearings
by John Nichols
Three senior members of the House Judiciary Committee have called for the immediate opening of impeachment hearings for Vice President Richard Cheney.

Democrats Robert Wexler of Florida, Luis Gutierrez of Illinois and Tammy Baldwin of Wisconsin on Friday distributed a statement, “A Case for Hearings,” that declares, “The issues at hand are too serious to ignore, including credible allegations of abuse of power that if proven may well constitute high crimes and misdemeanors under our constitution. The charges against Vice President Cheney relate to his deceptive actions leading up to the Iraq war, the revelation of the identity of a covert agent for political retaliation, and the illegal wiretapping of American citizens.”

Ohio Secretary of State confirms 2004 election could have been stolen
By Harvey Wasserman
Created Dec 17 2007 - 8:05am

by Bob Fitrakis & Harvey Wasserman

Ohio's Secretary of State announced this morning that a $1.9 million official study shows that "critical security failures" are embedded throughout the voting systems in the state that decided the 2004 election. Those failures, she says, "could impact the integrity of elections in the Buckeye State." They have rendered Ohio's vote counts "vulnerable" to manipulation and theft by "fairly simple techniques."

Indeed, she says, "the tools needed to compromise an accurate vote count could be as simple as tampering with the paper audit trail connector or using a magnet and a personal digital assistant."

In other words, Ohio's top election official has finally confirmed that the 2004 election could have been easily stolen.

Brunner's stunning findings apply to electronic voting machines used in 58 of Ohio's 88 counties, in addition to scanning devices and central tabulators used on paper ballots in much of the rest of the state.

Coming in the state that decided the 2004 election for George W. Bush, Brunner's confirmation of the electoral system's vulnerabilities adds huge new weight to the charge that the Buckeye State's vote count was stolen.

In a series of investigative reports dating to well before the 2004 election, the Columbus Free Press and Freepress.org have documented several dozen different means used by the Bush-Cheney re-election campaign to steal the official 2004 vote count.

The final official tally for Bush---less than 119,000 votes out of 5.4 million cast---varied by 6.7% from exit poll results, which showed a Kerry victory. Exit polls in 2004 were designed to have a margin of error of about 1%.

In various polling stations in Democrat-rich inner city precincts in Youngstown and Columbus, voters who pushed touch screens for Kerry saw Bush's name light up. A wide range of discrepancies on both electronic and paper balloting systems leaned almost uniformly toward the Bush camp. Voting procedures regularly broke down in inner city and campus areas known to be heavily Democratic.

In direct violation of standing federal election law, 56 of Ohio's 88 counties have since destroyed all or part of their 2004 election data. The materials were additionally protected by a federal court injunction in the King-Lincoln-Bronzeville federal civil rights lawsuit (in which we are attorney and plaintiff). To date, no state or federal prosecutions have resulted from this wholesale destruction of presidential election records, including 1.6 million ballots, cast and uncast, needed for definitive auditing procedures. However, two Cuyahoga County (Cleveland) election officials have been convicted of felony manipulation of an official recount.

Under Blackwell, Ohio spent some $100 million installing electronic voting machines as part of the Help America Vote Act, passed by Congress in the wake of the scandals surrounding the 2000 election. Former Ohio Congressman Bob Ney, HAVA's principle author, now resides in a federal prison, in part for illegalities surrounding his dealings with voting machine companies.

Blackwell, who was defeated in a 2006 race for the Ohio governorship, outsourced web hosting responsibilities for the 2004 vote count to a programming firm that also programmed the web site for the 2000 Bush-Cheney campaign. Blackwell's chosen host site for the state's vote count was in the basement of the Old Pioneer Bank Building in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where the servers for the Republican National Committee, and the Bush White House, were also located.

"It's a testament to our state's boards of elections officials that elections on the new (federally) mandated voting systems have gone as smoothly as they have in light of these findings," Brunner said.

Conversely, it is also a testament to the ease with which the 2004 election was stolen by election officials who had clear conflicts of interest aimed at keeping George W. Bush in the White House.

The vast House food service operation that feeds the belly of the beast - more than 2.5 million meals a year for members, staff, tourists, lobbyists, lawyers, journalists and other highly regarded species that inhabit the Capitol - is switching to locally grown, organic, seasonal and generally healthy food. It will be served in compostable sugar cane and corn starch containers instead of petroleum-based plastics. Even the knives and forks will be biodegradable.

Colorado's Republican Secretary of State, Mike Coffman, has announced that a number of Colorado's e-voting machines have failed state certification testings, and will not be allowed for use in the 2008 election cycle. The announcements came at a news conference in Denver which completely just minutes ago.

Describing the state's testing of four major voting machine companies previously certified in the state, Coffman explained to reporters at the presser that there were "over 3000 tests on each vendor['s systems], and over 40,000 pages documenting the tests."

"This has been an extensive process," he said, after detailing several remarkable findings from each of the systems testing. For example, test results showed that paper-based optical-scan systems made by Hart InterCivic "could not accurately count ballots." While Direct Recording Electronic (DRE, usually touch-screen) systems made by ES&S, the world's largest supplier of voting systems, could be disabled by "denial of service" attacks at the polling place with a device as simple as a magnet.

Republican radio personality, fund-raiser, donor???? You're trying to taint republicans with being soley responsible for crime?

LOL!

Let's take an inventory of the political make-up of America's prisons. My guess is that it's 75%-25% Democrat.

And since whites make up less than 30% of all prisoners...and most minorities vote 'Democrat"... I guess that pretty much GUARANTEES that most rapists, murderers, thieves, sex-perverts are DEMOCRATS. LOL!

Hey, that's some fine documentation there, fruitcake...your guess...hahaha, the question is how many Congressmen, GOP officials and public figures there are? Not non-political petty crooks...most of those are goofy trailer trash like you.

You got our list...well a fraction of it; more like thirty to one...never in history have so many high profile members of one party been so corrupt...not even close...next we'll send you the big time family values PERVERT list. Git to yer bunker now.

No, the question is how does the Republican and the Democrat respond to wrong within their own ranks. The Republican punishes it, the Democrat rewards it.

Sandy Berger is utter scum. The man was caught red-handed -- and has admitted to -- stealing top secret 9/11 documents to keep them from the 9/11 commission. The result? Sandy Berger is a top advisor to the leftists' leading candidate, Hillary Clinton.

Bill Clinton commits all sorts of crimes from accepting bribes to raping women -- he remains a leftist darling.

Al Sharpton helped fake the rape of a young black girl, incited the murder of Jews in New York. Result? He's a candidate for President in 2004.

Ted Kennedy drives off a bridge drunk, leaves a young woman (not his wife) to die a slow, miserable death, while he swims to shore to powwow with his advisers. Result? Ted Kennedy leading Democrat power.

Nobody's claiming that there aren't corrupt people within the Republican ranks. What we're saying is that Democrats are INHERENTLY corrupt. So long as Bill is raping for the left he's a hero. So long as Ted is killing for the left he's a hero. So long as Al Sharpton is faking rapes for the left he's a hero.

This is because Democrats have NO morals. That's what makes you a Democrat. You are taught from the time you're an infant that just by BEING a Democrat you're good. Then any rape or murder you engage in is considered good because it was done to advance the "good" cause.

You got that right, Evan.

Nancy Pelosi is heir to a Baltimore Crime family. Even Nancy's Mom got indicted. And the #3 in line for the presidency was once a Grand Kleagel in the Ku Klux Klan. The DNC fish is rotten from the head.

Hahahaha...wanna see the biggest joke from these googballs yet...

"No, the question is how does the Republican and the Democrat respond to wrong within their own ranks. The Republican punishes it, the Democrat rewards it."

They've done everything they can to stonewall EVERY of their endless acts of corruption and perversion that they could...it's so bad now that they're more like a running sore than a running joke. What else are they going to do...if they go after their crooks/pervs, they'll be exposed themelves...they're all in it. The dems have only had the few, regular no. of cases to deal with..the GOP has had a shitstorm so huge that it's unheard of...from Aramoff to the whole Alaska GOP estab. And they just keep coming more every day...all exposed by someone outside the party...they kept their perv from Fla. in charge of pages long after they knew he was a predator...that's typical. The only guy they went after was Wide Stance...because he'd plead guilty and they feared he'd hurt them with the bigot and homophove vote...hahahahaha...Let the carnival roll on. I can' get enough.

The funniest part is the way they have to scrape to come up with any names at all...they're all from ancient history, silly rumors of UNCHARGED cases, or wildly exaggerated stuff, along with about one or two actual cases which is FEWER than typical...poor, widdow creeps...what else can they do when they've got dozens of high level crimes and exposed perverts in their MORALITY and FAMILY VALUES poddy?..the words must stick in their throats, now, especially when they see their listeners trying to suppress a horse laugh.

For six plus years now the leftists have done everything in their power to try and destroy George Bush. First, they tried to steal the 2000 election -- that's right, it's not as the leftist media portrays it where mythical black voters were kept from the polls. Research a million times, not a one legitimate case was ever found...

Oh, but wait, here's something that no one denies (they just cover it up and ignore it), but the leftist media (illegally?) called the state of Florida (and therefore the national election) while the polls were still open in half the state. Guess which half?

That's right, after the blacks in Miami Beach, the gays in South Beach, the Jews in Palm Beach had all finished voting, but the other half of the state, the "Panhandle" had another hour to vote, the leftist media (you know, the folks like Dan Rather who forged documents to try and steal the 2004 election) said to the Republicans in the overwhelmingly Republican panhandle "go home, don't bother voting, it's all over, go be with your family."

How many TENS OF THOUSANDS of Republicans listened to the liars and didn't bother to vote. Result? Bush wins state by tens of thousands of votes and the who attempt the Dems pulled to try and steal the election through "pregnant chads" and endless recounts never could have been pulled off.

From that moment on EVERY lie the leftists could vomit out against America and America's Commander-in-Chief came forth. Sandy Berger cramming top secret documents into his pants and his socks so Clinton's crimes leading up to 9/11 would be covered up and the liar Michael Moore could sell his Nazi-style propaganda as "the truth."

The Democrats called our troops "Nazis" to try and undermine their moral so the terrorists would win while Harry Reid pushed constantly for our surrender to the terrorists -- even saying "the surge had failed" before it had even begun.

One Clinton official went on television telling Democrats not to despair at the good news coming out of Lebanon and elsewhere saying they "shouldn't worry" because hopefully something will go wrong elsewhere.

Democrats HATE AMERICA. They root for EVERY one of our enemies from Cindy Sheehan hugging Hugo Chavez to the Hollywood leftists running to embrace Fidel Castro -- and this has been true for decades as they worked on behalf of the communists in the fifties, the Viet Cong in the Sixties and Seventies, the Soviet Union in the eighties and nineties and now the Islamic fascists.

No lie, no crime, no deceit is beneath them as they work to destroy the country.

Anonymous said...

Apparently they must also believe that America has committed some crime that warrants their punishment. Either that, or they must be the most egregious of all forms of hypocrites. Those who revel in hypocrisy.

Whiner says: "For six plus years now the leftists have done everything in their power to try and destroy George Bush."

Wrong again, guy...we didn't try to destroy the foul, little prick, we did destroy him. On the other hand, you put Clinton at 73% on the day of "impeachment." So, now you know why you're going down. After your hyperactive, 30 year effort to make conservatism triumphant all you did is discredit yourselves beyond anyone's wildest dreams.... so long, goofballs. Nice try, though.

Poor uncompromising and resentful losers.

Honesty... finally.

...but the real reason is... they've got much bigger plans. Plans that require the sunset of nationalism and the eclipse of independent power-wielding countries like "America" in favor of rising international bodies of enormously confusing but power-less bureaucracies of the UN as influenced by the gynormous liberal-controlled trust funds of the Bill & Melinda Gates' Foundation, Ted Turner's and Ford Foundations of the world.

Internationalism, thy name is New Left.

That's what the Earl of Northumberland used to say when those commie left monarchists were trying to unify England into one great country. Footdraggers and laggards...always the same old schtick. Always trouble; always history's failures.

Since we destroyed him wouldn't tha make you the losers? Where's Karl?

Rove resigned in 2007 and set the policies in motion that led a DNC controlled Congress to crumble right before the Christmas recess and give Bush everything he needed to complete out his term...

And last week he signed a $1.5M book deal.

I sure wish the dhimmicrats would destroy me!
