Nancy Pelosi knows that in 1998 she said "Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology, which is a threat to countries in the region, and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process."
John Kerry knows that in 2002 he said "the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real..."
Jay Rockefeller knows that in 2002 he said ""There is unmistakable evidence that Saddam Hussein is working aggressively to develop nuclear weapons and will likely have nuclear weapons within the next five years."
So where do these folks get the nerve to attack the President and call him a "liar" for saying the same things they said? It's because the Democrats are confident of the corruptions and collusion of the Old Media, secure in the knowledge that the corrupt folks at CNN (who engaged in a ten year defrauding of the American people in their own quid pro quo with Saddam Hussein) and the home of Jayson Blair, Howell Raines, Maureen Dowd and a whole host of professional liars at the New York Times will never actually do their job and expose the near-treasonous lies that make up the whole of the Democrats' political strategy.
If the Democrats weren't sure of the collusion of the corrupt media they wouldn't have the guts to slander the President and America's Commander-in-Chief the way they do.

There are a good many people who still foolishly vote for the Democrats because they haven't yet come to realize that the real threat to their liberal (lower case "l") values comes not from the caraciture of the Republican as sold by the forged document uses in the leftist media but from the anti-American radicals who now run the Democrat Party.
This isn't necessarily because they are stupid. Often it is because they are simply not as interested in news and politics as we are. Their beliefs (Dems good, Republicans bad) were formed in leftist high schools and college were children are indoctrinated into hating America and, since then, they've not thought very deeply about the world.
That's why it is our job to thoughtfully, reasonably, nicely talk through issues with these folks one and one.
The other day, for example, I was at dinner when talk of the Sudan came up. The Democrats, of course, said the reason we "invaded" Iraq but haven't sent troops to the Sudan is because the Sudanese are black and Iraq has oil.
This, of course, was not a well-informed opinion. It was simply the knee-jerk reaction of people who were taught to hate America and simply accept whatever explanation most slanders this country.
I, kindkly, disagreed, pointed out that, as horrible the crimes of the Sudanese, they never invaded their neighbors (Saddam, who, of course, the Democrats adore and defend and wanted to keep in power invaded TWO of his neighbors, bombed two more and was aiding and abetting global terrorism).
After the converstation I'd changed the minds of a couple of people, gave food for thought to a few more. I will never, of coruse, change the mind of the mindless leftists who simply hate America. But the folks at the table simply had never heard the other side because CNN, the New York Times, etc. just never tells them.
